Vehicle Description
In conjunction with Carlisle's Fall Auctions will be the "Dave
Ferro Collection" 9-cars and trucks, built by Totally Auto and
owned/designed/driven by Dave. 1947 WW2 WC. Currently one of the
hottest rides on the market, you just don't find as rust free and
reliable as you see here. Runs, drives excellent, driven at least
monthly... great solid truck, Mil-spec serviced and very low
mileage. A-ww2-wc built during World War 2. This old Mopar came to
me about 4 years ago looking pretty much like it does now. The
previous owner had antiqued this old truck and then clearcoated it
to preserve it. It's rock solid, dependable and looks JUST RIGHT.
The engine is the 1950 Chrysler inchSpitfire inch which was the
biggest straight six that Chrysler made. A lot of torque but a 45
mph truck. The trans is a 4 speed with 1st being a granny gear.
Engine starts and runs well, no matter cold or hot and it and
shifts as it should (pre-syncro). Tires are all new. Gas tank was
was cut in half and cleaned by Vintage Power Wagons who. guarantees
their work for a lifetime and the tank displays a brass tag to
verify. Mostly stock with new fuel lines and also a new float
assembly in the gas tank. .The electrical system is converted from
6 to 12 volts. (new alternator, ballast resistor, fan belt,
battery, and new light bulbs all around. Theres also a new turn
signal unit on truck, rebuilt wiper motor and new vacuum hoses. The
brake system was completely replaced with new componets from VPW.
This includes all new brake lines, all new wheel cylinders, all new
shoes, all new axle seals, and new felt in the front 4wd universal
system. Interior was redone before I purchased the truck. Has a new
brown vinyl seat cover and the seat even has a crude air ride
system that lets the driver adjust the amount of air that can
escape when riding over rough terrain. The headliner is also redone
as well as vinyl covering on the A-posts. Truck has black rubber
mat on the floor as it should.
