The second generation Chevrolet Nova (or Chevy II) is one that has
always been sought after by Chevrolet fans and collectors alike.
The small, light weight chassis paired with a small-block V8 made
for a very sporty driving experience while the sharp, angular
bodylines captured the hearts of Chevrolet enthusiasts. This 1966
Chevy II Super Sport is an excellent, show quality example of these
iconic classics. This Chevy II is a true 118 Super Sport from the
factory and benefits from a very detailed restoration. The Blue
Metallic exterior is in excellent condition with very few flaws
present in the paint. Complimenting the Blue Metallic exterior is
the factory Super Sport trim and a set of Cragar S/S wheels wrapped
in raised white letter BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. The custom,
Black leather interior is in excellent condition and presents
without any defects. The front bucket seats have plenty of padding
and show no wear. Powering this gorgeous 1966 Chevy II SS is its
small-block 327 cubic inch V8 backed by its Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission. The engine benefits from a number of modifications
including: Speed Pro forged pistons (11:1 compression), ARP bolts,
Comp Cam camshaft, Comp Cam hydraulic lifters, gear drive, MSD
electronic ignition, Hitachi high torque starter, Holley fuel pump,
Polished aluminum radiator, 10" heavy-duty kevlar clutch, dual
polished 500 CFM Edelbrock carburetors, polished Edelbrock
dual-quad performer intake manifold, and Gilmore belts and pulleys.
Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should and
deliver a very fun and sporty driving experience. The modified 327
V8 produces a great sound breathing though a set of ceramic
long-tube headers flowing through the H-pipe exhaust and Flowmaster
mufflers. If you want to make your presence known, you can easily
do so by opening up the electric cut-outs to produce an even more
aggressive exhaust note. The engine compartment is beautifully
detailed and is extremely show worthy. The trunk compartment is
very nicely detailed for show with a built-in, plexiglass display
in the floor of the trunk, 2 polished fire extinguishers and two 9"
subwoofers. This Chevy II SS is nicely equipped with features such
as: Hurst short-throw shifter, center console, Auto-gage
tachometer, Auto-gage auxiliary gauges, variable speed wipers,
digital AM/FM stereo, and heater/defrost. If you are in the market
for a Chevy II or Chevy Nova that is show ready and drives just as
nice as it presents, then you will want to take a very close look
at this gorgeous 1966 Chevy II Super Sport.
