Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present this beautiful two-tone 1974
Volkswagen Super Beetle. This VW has tons of eye appeal with it's
Beige and White exterior topped off with a very cool luggage rack
complete with vintage luggage. Being a Super Beetle, this bug is
just a little larger the standard edition and features a front
trunk with a flat compartment for the spare, leaving significantly
more room for groceries (or whatever you like). The two other
features that separate this Beetle from a standard are the curved
windshield and the upgraded front suspension. The Super Beetles
have a Macpherson strut and coil spring set-up in the front with an
anti-roll bar and trailing arms, providing a much more comfortable
ride as well as an improved turning radius. This car even comes
with a new set of shocks and struts purchased but not installed by
the previous owner. The rear suspension is a semi-swing axle
independent from the chassis. The glass and exterior trim are in
very good condition, as are the "elephant foot" tail light covers.
The front turn signal covers do show a little cracking but there is
a new set in the trunk ready to install. This Beetle sits on
factory rally wheels with chrome VW hubcaps, all wrapped in newer
tires. The clean engine compartment houses a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder
air-cooled motor mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Braking
power comes from front discs and rear drums. Inside the passenger
compartment you'll find a light tan vinyl interior with grey
carpeting - both in very good condition. The door cards are in
great shape and both feature a map pocket. The rear seat folds down
to provide a generous amount of extra storage space if needed. This
bug does have an aftermarket stereo but it is inoperable. The
headliner is tight and in good condition. The shifter has been
upgraded to an EMPI trigger shifter. If you've been searching for a
unique Beetle that grabs attention as you cruise around town then
look no further - this is the one! It's practical enough to drive
to the grocery store and cool enough to get looks at a car show or
cruise-in.
