1964 Chevrolet Daytona Blue Corvette Convertible
Car History
America's only true sports car, the 1964 Chevrolet Corvette, that
we have here at Adventure Classics, only got subtle refinements in
the body in 1964 for an already set of sleek lines, side gills,
white convertible top, and whitewall tires.
We have a high-quality recent frame-on restoration 1964 Corvette
Roadster that has a powerful 327 cubic inch V8 engine backed by a
4-speed transmission.
Engine & Drivetrain
This Corvette just exudes factory original performance from the
minute you open the hood and see the 327 cubic inch engine with its
orange painted block, heads, intake, and matching orange valve
covers with the Chevrolet 327 Turbo-Fire decal.
It also has a chrome open air cleaner, performance coated factory
cast iron exhaust headers that flow into the dual exhaust system,
4-barrel carb, factory distributor, and backed by a 4-speed manual
transmission. This lovely Corvette is equipped with aftermarket Air
Conditioning, however, it does not have power steering or power
brakes.
It all sits in a newly restored clean, painted, and detailed engine
compartment.
Interior
This Sting Ray offers a completely luxurious driving environment
with its individual twin blue bucket seats that have a factory
bolster-like design for more seating comfort and better lateral
support.
The blue theme extends to the door panels with blue carpet and dual
sun visors, controls for the outside-air-type heater and defroster
located on the central console along with the electrical clock and
radio controls and vent controls that are located under the
instrument panel on each side of the steering column.
Matched speedometer and tachometer are the primary instruments in
the Sting Ray with all the factory gauges, head-light switch,
cigarette lighter, head-lamp retractor switch, hood release, and
four-position ignition switch that completes the instrument panel
along with the great wood Corvette steering wheel.
Exterior
Our 1964 Sting Ray is beautiful as it is covered with a new Daytona
Blue paint flowing over the stock flat hood, swoopy fenders, the
white convertible top, and the louvers behind the front wheels,
giving it both an aggressive and sophisticated look.
All the emblems, the rear bumpers and taillights, door handles, the
flip-up gas cap remain in as-new condition as well as the steel
factory wheels with the knock-off type hub caps and whitewall tires
which recreate the original look.
Conclusion
The 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster we have here at Adventure
Classics is a luxurious transportation for two, backed by the
potent 327 cubic inch engine with air conditioning and the 4-speed
manual transmission which will give you a different kind of driving
experience!
This was one of the prettiest color combos ever in a Corvette and
these C2 Corvettes are always climbing in value in the collector
market.
