Vehicle Description
Take some time to check out all the custom details of this 1955
Chevrolet 3100 Big Window restomod pickup. After all, they took
plenty of time building this custom truck. The terrific paint,
custom body, a leather-lined A/C interior, overdrive transmission,
upgraded suspension, and LS2 fuel-injected V8 all make for the kind
of total package that's ready for everything from daily driving to
car show awards.
This truck's vivid yellow makes it instantly get attention on
arrival. It's the product of restoration that was completed about
1,500 miles ago. So there's fresh luster and terrific shine on top
thanks to a quality application. You have more great shine on
classic brightwork pieces like the large grille and mirror-like
front bumper. But you start to notice there are upgrades that set
this apart from other classics. The wide dual exhaust tips and the
15-inch aluminum wheels add shine while hinting at upgraded power.
While the 1955 3100's curvy front end and big back window cab first
catch your eye; you soon realize that the bed is a sportside
configuration borrowed from a later C/K series model. And since
this is a full professional build, the merging looks like the
factory made it that way. In fact, the bed really shows off how
this one merges vintage and new so well. After all, you have a
modern sliding tonneau over the bed, and below that is a detailed
real wood floor.
The full custom interior feels both sporty and comfortable. It
starts with two terrific-looking leather bucket seats borrowed from
a later model and have the kind of bolstering that make them all
day comfortable. Everything else from the carpeting to door panels
have a well-done look. And with the exterior yellow return on the
metal parts of the doors, dash, steering column, and roof for a
premium level of coordination. You have all the right features for
a comfortable cruiser, like ice-cold R134a air conditioning, a
custom cup holder center console, and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo
with Bluetooth. You slip behind the leather-wrapped chrome steering
wheel that's on a tilt column. And the full Dakota Digital gauge
package has a crisp style and a modern glow to let you know this
one was built for driving.
While there are plenty of terrific custom components on the
interior and exterior that will draw a crowd, we're willing to bet
the engine bay is what really brings them all to you. This has a
6.0-liter LS2 V8. Not only do the shaved firewall and inner walls
match the exterior yellow, but also the custom engine cover with
cool graphics reminds you the color is quite close to Tweety bird
yellow. The V8 has a terrific truck lineage borrowed from a Chevy
TrailBlazer SS that's said to have under 32k miles on it when
installed. It makes for a powerful fuel-injected V8 built for truck
duty. And because this wants to strike the right balance of power
car and cruiser, you also have upgrades like the tubular A-arm
front end, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and a 4L70E
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
This is the desirable big back window truck with a custom body, an
awesome A/C interior, and a powerful LS heart. So if you want a
