HIGHLIGHTS: Nicely restored and highly desirable 1963 VW Beetle
Ragtop! Beautifully preserved older restoration! 1600CC! Matching
trailer! This is the Ragtop Beetle of your dreams!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Beetle is in incredible condition,
and shows extremely well. The body is very straight, and really
shows the level of care this car has received since the
restoration. Even the underside is in nice condition, which is no
small feat for a classic Beetle! The more you look at this car, the
more apparent the quality of restoration becomes.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Refinished in ever-popular Gulf Blue,
this Beetle looks fantastic! The paint shows very well in person
with good depth and a glossy finish. Imperfections are at a
minimum. This VW is sure to turn heads just about anywhere! This is
an older restoration, so there are some very minor imperfections to
be found that come with age, however overall the paint is in great
condition and shows very, very nicely.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Like the rest of the car, the interior
has received a restoration with lots of new parts and shows very
well. With the desirable low-back bucket seats, as correct for
1963, and the matching interior color to the exterior Gulf Blue
looks great! Other features include a hidden modern radio, a modern
sound system complete with tweeters and a subwoofer, and
period-correct luggage.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood sits what is believed to be a
2110cc VW engine, which is a welcome upgrade over the original
1200cc. It is equipped with dual carburetors, which is yet another
functional and tasteful upgrade. Plus it looks pretty cool! This
Beetle runs like a champ, and the aftermarket exhaust gives it a
sound most Beetles can only dream of having! Listening to this car
idle is simply music to any car enthusiast's ears. Furthermore,
this Beetle has been restored with driveability in mind and is
ready to hit the street!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The high level of restoration and
the classic color combination!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you don't like VWs, this
probably isn't for you! Otherwise, this is a hard vehicle to
nitpick.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? As is common with VWs of this era, the
heater does not work properly, and the wipers do not work, but
otherwise this car is absolutely ready to roll!
