Vehicle Description
1950 Chevrolet 3100 truck 5 window. This truck was garage kept all
its life and on a farm most of it. It has just under 62,000
original miles on it. The drive train is very solid along with the
rest of it. It's been in storage in a garage for the last 12 years.
After a day and a half of repairs it ran and a few more days, the
brakes work. It runs and drives good. The engine was updated from
the original 216 cubic inch to a 1962 235 inline 6 cylinder with a
factory 4-speed on the floor manual trans with a granny gear. The
front brakes are original style 'Huck Brakes' and the rears are
updated to 1955 or newer. This truck was updated long ago from a 6
to 12-volt system. It was all wired and done correctly with Delco
Remy 12-volt starter and generator. The master cylinder, line out
of master cylinder, front wheel cylinders, thermostat, antifreeze,
oil, filter, valve cover gasket, coil bracket, fuel pump and
battery are all new. The rear wheel cylinders were rebuilt, and
parking brake and cables work but needs adjusting. The turn signals
and 4-way flasher along with the rest of the lights are working.
Horn, heater, and radio work also. Interior is nice and the
exterior has a nice, aged look, patina maybe. It doesn't need much
work to be a daily driver. It could use a solid muffler and the
fuel tank needs to be thoroughly flushed and the steel line from it
to the pump needs replacing. Kingpins are in need of repair as
well. This is a very solid truck especially for being 72 years old
and would make a cool daily driver or restoration piece. Please
