After 29 years of enjoying my 74 Corvette Big-block, sadly I need to let it go. I have receipts totaling well over 90K, a bible of service receipts starting from 1995, WSCC judging sheets dating back to 1997, and well over 80 awards and trophies including best engine, best of show, best paint and more.
Engine: Verified numbers matching, professionally built by Bas Ass engines, Sonoma Ca. Included with the rebuild, full roller valve train including Comp cam, ported heads, high compression pistons, and more. Complete blueprinted build sheet included. Carburetor removed and shipped to "The Carburetor Refractory" in Richmond, Ca. Has a "Be-cool" aluminum radiator and Edelbrock water pump. Original A/C compressor will need to be recharged. Shows 60k, speedometer just quit but I believe this to be very close to the original miles. "X" pipe installed a few years ago, and 2-chamber flow Master Mufflers installed in late 90s. Sounds wicked and DOES set off car alarms.
Transmission: Original M-21 removed and shipped from California to David's 4-speeds in Wisconsin. The M-21 was completely rebuilt with M-22 performance gears and steel mid-plate. Complete build sheet included and segment on the rebuild posted by David at David's 4-speed on YouTube, go check it out.
Rear end: Original 3:36 removed and shipped to" Rears and Gears" DND Enterprise in Vacaville Ca. Rebuilt to 3:73 ratio. Driveshaft and half shafts balanced; new u-joints installed.
Exterior: Paint by Roseville Rod & Custom, original urethane front bumper, newer fiberglass rear bumper. Chrome by Sherm's plating, Sacramento Ca. All bonding strips are in place, no accidents whatsoever. T-tops have only been off of the car less than a dozen times.
New brakes and newer tires (4-wheel disc brakes). Gotta be able to stop this beast!!
All original Astro-vent side glass, no windshield chips whatsoever. Factory code # 76L, Mille Miglia Red.
Interior: Original interior., just replaced the passenger motor, and yes, from an original casing rebuilt from Corvette Stop in Shingle Springs Ca. ZERO aftermarket parts. You will receive 2 full totes of packaging / boxes from parts replaced from GM. Equipped with Power windows, power steering, tilt / telescopic, power brakes, and rear air defrost. GM listed this car as fully optioned in 1974. Factory code # 404, Black Leather interior.
Summary: I am NOT interested in trades, tire kickers, or low ball offers. This car was being prepped for NCRS judging, life got in the way. I am a former WSCC judge and former NCRS member. After spending much of its life competing in Western States Corvette shows, Grand National Roadster show, Autorama, etc., I decided to retire the car from shows in mid 2000. If you're looking for a daily driver, this isn't the car for you. Serious inquiries only please!
