Vehicle Description
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door coupe. This car was restored 40 years
ago and has been in a garage, stored for the last 30 years. The
engine is a 1967 LT1 350 4 bolt main with fuelie 202 cast iron
heads and 2 Carter 4-barrel carbs atop an aluminum intake with
headers. It also has factory power steering and electric wipers.
The engine was rebuilt during restoration and has less than 1000
miles on it. Trans is a Borg Warner Super T10. Not sure what cam is
in it or what gears are in the rear differential. After deleting a
defective vertex magneto, the easiest and cheapest option was an
original style distributor to get it running. It runs and drives
but with only parking brakes to stop. The brakes need rebuilding or
updating to 4-wheel disc. It also has an electrical issue (bad
voltage regulator) and the car should be rewired simply due to its
age. The body is very solid with new quarter panels and outer
rockers from 40 years back but needs inner rocker panels, and the
rest is minimal. The chrome is all there but needs some
restoration. The interior is to be replaced with the silver on
black entire kit from carpet to headliner that comes with the car.
A few pieces of the kit were damaged minimally by mice while in
storage but are repairable. A complete re chrome able front bumper
and turn signal grille bar come with it as well. This car has an
ocean of potential for restoration but could easily be put on the
road. The owner passed so it's being sold so someone else can enjoy
it for a while. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at
