Vehicle Description
Everyone from Ford to Hyundai is getting back into the small pickup
game, and when that happens, we always get reminded that the
classics are even better. That's especially true with this
exceptionally presented 1987 Chevrolet S-10. It has a bright style,
solid V6 power, an overdrive transmission, and an A/C interior.
It's a well-invested classic that also is offered for a value
price.
There are a lot of subtle upgrades that have gone into this pickup
to make this an all-around terrific ride. It starts with the paint.
The red is a respray that took time to deliver some serious
quality. You'll love the radiant style and deep gloss that will let
this classic steal attention from brand-new trucks. It also makes
for a great way to show off the S-10's well-creased sheet metal.
And it even looks like the bed was taken off during the respray for
the clean look of extra care. So while the low odometer represents
the full actual mileage (averaging under 2,200 miles annually,) the
paint and body make this look even more impressive. There are even
a few unique details that add distinction without leaving the Chevy
family. This includes the classic-style Rally wheels and a
smooth-er Blazer sport rear chrome bumper.
The interior continues the look of exceptional care. The soft
velour seating, plush carpeting, good door panels, and smooth dash
are quite stock and impressive. Even the lights still greet you
when you open the door. There are nice factory features including a
tilt steering column and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The upgrades are
subtle like the tinted windows and the cup holders. Plus, the
factory air conditioning has been given an investment in newer
components and is now blowing cold with modern R134a
refrigerant.
The 2.8-liter V6 was the right-sized motor for these
smaller/lighter pickups. Plus, a later version like this 1987 model
came with handy updates, like fuel injection and a four-speed
automatic transmission. Sure, there are plenty of powerful Chevy
V8s that fit in this engine bay, and that makes for a great combo
with these lightweight pickups. But there's also something
attractive about an honest classic that has been presented this
well. It's a stout-running package that loves to cruise. After all,
you not only have the overdrive transmission, but also power
steering, power brakes, and front discs for an all-around easy
driver.
So when your neighbor brings home one of those new small trucks,
make sure you have this one out in your driveway. It's the shining
and loaded example of why we love the segment so much. And while
this level of classic pickup distinction will make your neighbor
jealous, he'll really be floored by how much less you paid to get
it. Call today!!!
