Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250S.
Finished in light Ivory over bamboo MB-Tex interior, this is a
well-maintained and attractive example that presents to a very nice
standard inside and out. Body is straight with good paint quality
and nice door fitment and panel gaps. Bumpers, grille, trim, lenses
and glass are all in good condition. Tidy underside with solid
floors and rockers.
Interior is in very nice condition with excellent square-weave
carpets, nice door panels and seat upholstery and a very good
steering wheel. The wood dash trim is original and shows minor
patina but no major wear or damage. All gauges, switches,
indicators and lights are working as they should (including
instrument and climate control backlights). The climate sliders
also work properly. Original Blaupunkt AM radio is inop (a Becker
Europa AM/FM stereo would slide right in and look great). A/C has
been converted to R-134a and is blowing cold.
Under the hood is a 2.5 liter overhead camshaft inline six cylinder
engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Records
indicate a top-end engine rebuild in 2013 fewer than 3,000 miles
ago, a brake booster and master cylinder the same year, new Weber
sidedraft carbs in 2017, and new tires, oil service, new front
brake calipers and A/C service earlier this year.
The W108 chassis has long been one of our favorite Mercedes-Benz
models, with timeless styling and driving dynamics that still feel
relevant today. This 250S starts easily and runs and drives well -
we just completed a 150 mile road trip and it performed flawlessly.
Spare, jack, owner's manual and factory tool roll are included with
the sale. For more information about this 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250S
