Vehicle Description
1961 Ford F100 - 5.0L V8 - Automatic Transmission - Dakota Digital
Gauges - Baby Blue and Wimbledon White Top - Gray Interior - Paint
Matched Steel Wheels With Ford Center Caps - Southern Truck
Decidedly the most recognizable and longest running truck series,
the Ford F-Series is undoubtably an American icon. Debuting in
1948, Ford's F-Series trucks offered both light-duty and
medium-duty platforms for the average working man. Highlighted
above is a stellar example of the fourth generation that Ford
presented running from 1961 to 1966. Sporting a baby blue exterior
complete with Wimbledon white top, this truck is sure to turn heads
wherever it may go. Although the paint does show some patina, the
truck is nicely kept and does show very well. Completing the look
of this truck are steel wheels which are color matched to the roof
with period correct Ford center caps, and Ford scripting on the
tailgate. Under the hood is where this truck truly shines. Complete
with a Ford 5.0L V8 and automatic transmission, this truck has a
little extra power compared to the engine it left the factory with.
Being a southern vehicle, the undercarriage is weathered but looks
to be solid. Built with the first ever box and cab integration, the
structure is solid and sound, including the truck bed which has
been coated for continued protection. Moving inside the truck, you
will find a pretty spartan interior. Outfitted with a gray cloth
bench seat, this truck does not have a lot of frills. A previous
owner has updated a few parts in the truck in the form Dakota
Digital gauges and an aftermarket radio complete with CD option.
Beyond these modern creature comforts, the interior remains pretty
basic. Complete with patina, an updated V8 engine, and classic Ford
styling, this beauty is what many truck lovers would wish to have
in their garage. Built to enjoy, this truck is perfect for weekend
cruises, or heck you could daily drive it! Please call if
interested or e-mail specific questions. Thanks for looking.
