1940 Chevrolet Coupe - 383ci V8 - Dual 4 BBL Carbs - Comp Cam -
Automatic Transmission - Beautiful Red Paint - Custom Gray Interior
- Power Bucket Seat - Lots Of Receipts and History Paperwork Based
on Chevrolet's Master Deluxe platform, the Special Deluxe models
produced from 1933 to 1942 were the most expensive models in the
Chevrolet range for the time. All models shared a corporate
appearance, because of Harley Earl's tutelage, and the dependable
power that Chevrolet was known for. Stainless steel moldings
trimmed the hood and body belt line which created their signature
style and look. Standard equipment included a 30-hour clock, front
door arm rests, dual windshield wipers, twin air horns and a deluxe
steering wheel with horn ring. Although the Chevrolet offered here
may not be the exact Special Deluxe that crossed the production
line in 1940, this vehicle retains all its former uniqueness. Most
classic car enthusiasts would classify this vehicle as a Restomod
as it includes all kinds of bells and whistles. Wearing a
beautiful, bright red paint with custom gray interior this
Chevrolet is a showstopper. The paint is exuberant, has no visible
signs of wear and shines beautifully. The exterior chrome has been
polished and the chrome wheels offset the cherry paint expertly.
Under the hood is a 383ci V8 that includes dual four-barrel carbs
and a comp camshaft that has been coupled with an automatic
transmission, which together provides more than enough power to get
this vehicle down any roadway. The chassis and undercarriage have
undergone updates as well including being color matched to the body
and completed with original equipment. The interior is where you
will find most of the updates and technological advancements.
Firstly, you may notice the leather-wrapped power bucket seats
which compliment the modernized gray interior. Other updates
include a Pioneer stereo system with 12-disc CD changer, air
conditioning, and custom dash. All these advancements have been
customized nicely and have been extremely well-kept. Included in
the sale is tons of documentation and vehicle records. With a
physical appearance straight from the past and updates that rival
any modern vehicle, this Chevrolet Special Deluxe is a hot rod that
any collector would be pleased to have in their garage. This
vehicle is a dream to drive and would be a perfect addition to any
GoodGuys event. Please call if interested or e-mail specific
