1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 - Nevada 4x4 - 4.2L Inline 6 Cylinder - 5 Speed Manual Transmission - Kenwood Sound System - Silver Over Gray Interior Originating from Japan, the Toyota Land Cruiser started its legacy in 1951. To date, it is Toyota's longest running series of models and as of 2019 it has sold more than 10 million units worldwide. Shown here is the 60 series which was introduced starting in 1980. While still retaining the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Land Cruisers, the 60 series was better designed to compete in the emerging sport utility vehicle market, which included the continually popular Jeep Cherokee. Presented here is what appears to a highly original silver over gray 1986 model. The 60 series was given a variety of creature comforts like air conditioning, a rear heater, and an upgraded interior. This example is a very well-kept version complete with 210,847 miles on the odometer. The exterior paint shines nicely although, as to be expected there are a few scratches here and there. There is some surface rust present on the top of the rear bumper and along the passenger rear roof rail. The body shows no obvious physical signs of any off-roading. The chassis and undercarriage are solid thanks to the fact that this Land Cruiser spent a considerable amount of its life out west. This vehicle is powered by an original 4.2L inline 6 cylinder with 5 speed manual transmission and 4x4 capabilities. As noted, Toyota outfitted their Land Cruisers with many creature comforts that are not missing on this example. In addition to the standard equipment, this vehicle has a Kenwood sound system that will keep you cruising for many miles to come. The interior does show some aging as well as some dark spotting from use. There is a slight tear in the rear bench seat on the passengers side, and the dash does show some cracking but overall the interior is quite presentable. The vehicle does come equipped with the original jack and tool roll for any off-road challenges that might arise. In addition, this vehicle will come with original owner's manual as well as receipts for recent work completed. This now classic Toyota SUV is a handsome vehicle with true off road capabilities.
