For Sale: 2002 Harley-Davidson Dyna in Grand Rapids, Michigan
2002 Harley Davidson FXDWG3 Dyna Wide Glide CVO Custom Vehicle
Operation - One Owner - One of 3,000 Made - 1450cc Engine - Custom
Stingray Seat Founded in 1903, Harley-Davidson (or simply Harley)
is one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive
the Great Depression as well as numerous ownership arrangements,
periods of poor economic health and intense global competition to
become one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers. Widely
known for its iconic brand and loyal following, Harley's only true
competition is its historical rival Indian Motorcycles.
Harley-Davidson is noted for a style of customization that gave
rise to the chopper motorcycle style along with its traditionally
marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles. Dyna-frame
motorcycles were developed in the 1980s and early 1990s and debuted
for the 1991 model year with the FXDB Sturgis offered in limited
edition quantities. The new Dyna frame featured big-twin engines
and traditional styling and can be distinguished from the Softail
by the traditional coil-over suspension that connects the swingarm
to the frame, and from the Sportster by their larger engines.
Harley discontinued the Dyna platform in 2017 for the 2018 model
year, having been replaced by the completely redesigned Softail
chassis. Presented here is a 2002 FXDWG3 Dyna Wide Glide CVO which
is the perfect combination of a Harley-Davidson that has more
classic styling, and a completely custom motorcycle. Built on the
traditional Dyna Wide Glide framework, this FXDWG3 features
accessories that you can only find on the Harley-Davidson CVO
motorcycle. Some of them include a chrome fuel tank console created
specifically for the CVO bike by Willie, chrome floating brake
rotors, and a lowered front and rear suspension. The custom paint
work couples the rich luster of its color matched frame with
hot-rod style flames that stretch across the fairing, tank, and
back fender. Being only one of 3,000 produced, this bike is a rare
find. In additional its natural rarity, this motorcycle can claim a
single owner, custom Stingray seat and only 4,419 miles on the
odometer. This calming cool Harley has been very well kept with no
visible signs of road wear or misuse. The paint on the tank and the
chrome on the exhaust shine beautifully. The tires show plenty of
tread and life to hit the road. Sporting a 1450cc engine this
motorcycle has plenty of power and will provide any Harley
enthusiast with the ride and adventure that they have come to
recognize with the Harley brand. If you are looking to start your
two-wheeled adventure or have been a motorcycle rider for years,
this bike may be right for you. Its classy but not flashy
appearance is just the right amount of attention that any rider
would be happy to have. And if you are ready to experience the road
with the wind in your hair, this is the bike for you. Please call
if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for
looking.
