This Chevelle checks everything on the option list. What's it
missing? Nothing.
EXTERIOR: The body is excellent; it is absolutely straight and the
gaps are right. No rust or damage, it is smooth along the bottoms.
Beautiful deep Emerald green. The green metal flake is laid out
evenly and is polished smooth and glossy. It does have some nicks
and chips. The roof is painted white. The chrome and trim on the
car is shiny and straight. It has optional bumper guards and a rear
mount antenna. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. It
rides on a set of 15 inch polished Torque Thrust wheels with Cooper
radial tires.
INTERIOR: Recently restored from floor to ceiling. The optional
dash pad is new, the chrome instrument panel is new. Custom
installed tachometer and gauge cluster. It also has a modern
Bluetooth stereo. Air conditioning vents were neatly installed
under the dash. Custom steering wheel. Down on the floor it has new
carpet, Chevelle embroidered floormats and a 5-speed shifter with
an 8 ball knob. The seats were reupholstered. Door panels, armrests
and window cranks are new. Headliner, visors, mirror are new. Dome
light works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 400 small block bored to a 406. It has a hotter
cam, aluminum Edelbrock intake, dual feed polished Holly carb, HEI
ignition and a set of headers. The front of the motor is decked out
with polished billet brackets, pulleys, serpentine belt system,
polished a/c compressor and alternator, a modern power steering
with stainless braided hoses. Upgraded power brake system with a
dual reservoir master. Upgraded Champion aluminum radiator, dual
electric fans and an aluminum water pump keeps it running cool. New
hood insulation, squirters are hooked up, battery is bolted
down.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a 5th matching polished wheel for a
spare. Solid metal with a gray spatter finish. New insulated
carpeted mat and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The front end is completely new. Upgraded with QA1 coil
over adjustable gas shocks, UMI tubular control arms, bigger
swaybar, adjustable tie rods. In back it has QA1 coil over
adjustable gas shocks, adjustable upper and lower control arms. It
has a fat dual exhaust with x-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers.
Upgraded with drilled and slotted disc brakes at all 4 wheels.
E-brake assembly is hooked up. The fuel tank and sending unit were
replaced. Bottom of the motor is clean; it has a high torque
starter. Center Force clutch and throw out bearing. 10 bolt rear
end with a Yukon 3.55 posi, 30 spline Moser axles and an aluminum.
The floors and braces look rock solid.
Very clean, solid car. It looks great but really is begging to be
driven and enjoyed. Shifting through the gears on a curvy country
road sounds like a great way to spend the day.
