1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 - 396ci V8 - Automatic Transmission

for sale. When you think of the Muscle Car Era without a doubt the
Chevrolet Chevelle SS comes to mind. These cars are so iconic to
this era that many believe the Chevelle made Matthew McConaughey's
career as he drove one in his first role in the 70's period movie
Dazed and Confused. Think about McConaughey's character, Wooderson
in this cult classic movie. Wooderson is little creepy, still
chasing high school girls after he is long graduated. However, put
him in a big block Chevelle and he is Alright, Alright, Alright!
and the role green lit McConaughey's career. This Super Sport
Tribute left the factory as a Chevelle Malibu with a small block V8
and but has been subjected to a highly detailed cosmetic
restoration and converted to a correct Chevrolet big block. The
green paint with black Super Sport rally stripes has been well
applied over well executed body work. The paint has been polished
to a high luster and presents well. The Super Sport treatment is
very through and complete and this car is a fitting tribute. The
chrome and related stainless trim has either been replaced or
restored and rolls on the correct Rally rims with fresh trim rings
and center caps along with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's with raised
white letters. Inside the cabin the dark green interior has been
completely restored. It features new front and rear seat upholstery
and carpet with custom Chevelle embossed floor mats. The front and
rear door panels and the rear package tray are new as well. The
correct SS steering wheel is present with full factory
instrumentation including the factory tachometer. The factory
horseshoe shifter and console selects the gears of the automatic
transmission. A complete headliner kit is included with the sale to
complete the interior restoration. The trunk space is completely
detailed with correct houndstooth rubber mat and has been restored
with correct factory jute insulation behind the rear seat and under
the package tray to dampen noise in the cabin. A chrome wheel and
new spare tire are included. Underneath the frame and underbody has
been lightly detailed with many new components. The power front
disc brakes have been serviced including new front calipers and
hard lines and rear drums. The shocks are new on all four corners
and the gas tank has been replaced with a new factory style unit.
The correct front and rear stabilizer bars are present with rear HD
boxed lower control arms. The frame is solid with no indications of
any rust or accident repair and the floorboards and trunk floor are
clean and free of rust through. Under the hood is restored, well
detailed and show ready. An era correct 396cid 350hp big block
Chevrolet has been installed with all the correct factory era
details including all the correct under hood decals. The correct
cooling and heater hoses with GM markings and part numbers along
with tower style hose clamps have been installed. The ignition is
factory correct including spark plug wires with factory markings
and wire looms. This SS Chevelle features power steering and power
brakes with a new correctly plated power brake booster. Power is
transferred to 400THM automatic transmission back to the 12-bolt
differential. This is an amazing vehicle to drive with that torquey
big block under the hood. It begs to be driven and of course
cruised on the local boulevard where it will be sure to bring on
plenty of smiles and thumbs up. This car is turnkey and well
detailed and so whether you pop the hood at the gas station to
check the fluids or show it off at your local cruise in our show it
