This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is the real-deal Super Sport
body that has been given some quality investments. That means
show-ready paint, a well-done interior, and even solid V8 power. It
all makes for the kind of classic hardtop that's an impressive
all-around cruiser from its first day in your garage.
We have a long receipt file that only stretches back to the end of
2020. It documents thousands $$$$ invested all over this coupe. It
makes for a fresh impression from basically every angle. The first
place you see this is the paint. Aztec Turquoise is a great 1960s
Chevy color, and nearly $1300 was invested in laying it down in
2020. The result is an era-correct kind of style that also has a
modern kind of radiance in the sunshine. And this added shine goes
great with the chrome bumpers, bright trim, and classic Rally
wheels. It all looks good without also being too fancy to get
driven, because after all, the Super Sport package is about having
more fun on the road. Plus, the dark grille, ribbed rocker trim,
dual exhaust tips, rally wheels, and badging give this the proper
SS flair.
A black interior always seems to get the SS attitude right. This
was an upgrade later in life, and so the seats, carpeting, and door
panels all have a nice look. As a proper Super Sport, you have
comfy bucket seats and a center console in-between. There are also
more features to keep this a great driver. Some are vintage like
the thin/grippy stock steering wheel, and others are well-placed
upgrades, like the under-dash auxiliary gauges. This one is just
waiting for you to install the retro-style radio of your choice for
upgraded driving music but really, we bet your favorite soundtrack
doesn't come from there. After all, there's nothing better than
rolling down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop, and
letting the interior fill with cool breezes and the rumble of the
V8 under the hood.
This Chevelle was born at the beginning of the small block's
dominance, and so it's great to lift the hood and see that it
respects its history. But while the 327 cubic-inch was the top-dog
for the regular production Malibu SS this year, you can also
instantly tell this one was made for even more fun. It's said to be
bored .30 over and built with new pistons, an upgraded/polished
camshaft, double hump heads, a new timing chain, and topped with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor. And long tube headers let this motor
exhale with added power and authority into the dual exhaust. It's a
strong motor that's supported by the right features everywhere from
the high-volume oil pump to the aluminum radiator with electric
fans. Plus, you also have great anytime driving features such as a
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
front discs, and a new set of wide Cooper Cobra tires.
The sale comes complete with a long build receipt file that shows
over $6,500 invested within the last few years. It makes for a
great Super Sport with cool colors, vintage style, and the right
additions. It's a total package you need to get your hand on right
now. Call today!!!
