Cruisin Classics is proud to present this 1991 Dodge Daytona IROC edition. In 1990 Chrysler took over as the sponsor of the International Race of Champions from Chevy and the Daytona IROC was born. These IROC's are the exact same car as the Shelby Daytona with the addition of some external graphics and a single letter change in the VIN. This particular Daytona 2-door hatchback is dressed in bright white paint that still has a nice shine and is complemented by white alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear G-Force Comp 2 tires. The ground effects package, pop-up headlights, and red IROC graphics really add to the overall sporty appearance. Pop the hood to find a 3.0 liter overhead cam V6 mated to a 5-speed Getrag transmission in an engine bay that looks clean and organized. The interior is maroon and the plush fabric upholstery still looks great on the seats. The seats are manual, but the drivers side offers electric lumbar and wing adjustments. The cabin offers quite a few notable creature comforts including a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cold AC, adjustable sunroof, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, power steering, and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with a Blaupunkt amp and speaker box in the hatchback. There is also a pull-back luggage shade for the rear to hide the speaker box and whatever valuables you might want to keep out of view. Braking power comes from 4-wheel power vented disc brakes. The 91 Daytona also featured a redesigned sports suspension with stiffer springs, performance-tuned front end and rear McPherson gas-charged struts/shocks, and larger anti-roll bars. With only 1,231 Daytona IROC's produced in 1991, this rare "blast from the past" is definitely a future classic for any MOPAR lover.
