This classic Fox Body with just over 31k original miles has spent the last 27 years out of commission stored up on jack stands in optimal weather tight conditions. Call it a barn find of sorts,yet without all the dirt, For a little back history this1987 Mustang falls within FORD's well proven "FOX" platform which successfully ran from 1978 through 1993. The 1987 Mustang GT is reported to be the cornerstone of the 3rd generation Mustang run (1979-1993), 1987 revitalized the Mustang image mostly from the higher factory horsepower and performance that cultivated the well-known "bolt on" performance era of the 80's forward. This classic is a hatchback, all original drivetrain includes the 5.0L (HO) 225 HP Sequential Fuel Injected (SEFI) V8 mated to a stout Borg Warner T-5 (5 speed) transmission feeding the 8.8 rear differential with factory 3:73 gearing. Factory options include PS, PB, AC, manual crank windows, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM Cassette w/factory equalizer and partial power cloth sports seats. According to an owner provided Marti report this car is a bit rare due to some minor points including Red Scarlet w/titanium lower accent exterior w/Scarlet red cloth sports seats, stereo option with graphic equalizer, front license plate bracket delete, AC option with rear hatch window defrost delete. Focused to recommission, this beauty just received a full overhaul to braking, mechanical, fuel and cooling systems. The car has NO signs of any previous body work or damage, the undercarriage is pristine with no rust, the interior is perfect and all a true testament to the low mileage on this classic. At some point the car looks to have been professionally clear coated (over the original factory paint) and currently shows very well and with great shine.
