For Sale: 1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

1 of only 114 Ram Air lll automatic coupes built. Only 697 Trans Ams were built total in 1969, it was a one year design. This one is #s matching throughout, documented by Pontiac Historical Services. It went through a total body off frame restoration to factory specs.

EXTERIOR: One of the best looking cars of that era! Unique features only available on the 1969 T/A: dual scooped hood, rear spoiler, air extractors on the fenders and blue stripes. Claimed to be an original metal rust free car. It is straight with no damage. All the gaps are right on. The front end fits right. Original Cameo White color, it has a smooth glossy finish. Painted on blue metallic stripes and tail panel. All the chrome and stainless trim is excellent. Rare remote mirror. Correct T-3 headlights. New windshield. Restored 14x7 rally ll wheels with correct lug nuts. Each one is wrapped in a reproduction Goodyear Polyglas tire.

INTERIOR: Beautiful blue deluxe interior, it's been completely restored. Deluxe Down on the floor the carpet's been replaced and has embroidered mats. Mint set of blue GM seatbelts. The center console is in very good original condition. The seats have been reupholstered. Deluxe door panels are replaced. Dash pad is replaced, very clean instrument panel nothing's cut or broken. Heater controls are nice. It has the optional factory tachometer and stacked gauges. It also has a deluxe wheel on a tilt column. The headliner is tight, visors and mirror look new, dome light works.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 400-335 ram air lll engine with correct components. Correct casting codes, correct numbers on the heads, carb and distributor. Correct ram air exhaust manifolds. Functional ram air system on top. It has power steering with optional cooling line. Power brakes with correct cadmium plated booster. Correct chrome valve covers, dated plug wires. Proper radiator, shroud, fan, even reproduction hoses and clamps. Everything looks proper and complete.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean dry metal. Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. Compartment is spatter painted. It is complete with collapsible spare, air bottle and jack assembly. The mat, weatherstrip and decals were replaced. It has a trunk light.

UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restoration to factory specs. All the steering and suspension has been rebuilt. They even used correct spiral shocks. It has a correct dual exhaust system with a transverse muffler. Disc brakes in front, the brake lines were replaced, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Fuel system was replaced including the tank, straps, fuel lines and sending unit. Looking up at the motor it still looks new, starter and fuel pump look fresh. The Vin number matching Turbo 400 also looks fresh. It has a rebuilt drive shaft with assembly line markings. Original rear end with 3.55 safety track gears. The metal under this car appears to be spotless. The floors, braces, frame rails and even the lower quarters are all dry metal.

I'm around the rarest, most beautiful cars every day. Rarely do I see a real 1969 Trans Am. I was very excited to buy this car. It is an investment grade car that you will love owning.
