Vehicle Description
This 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am has a cool sense of style with
T-tops, an awesome stereo, distinct upgrades, and a cool black and
gold/tan style inside and out. And with a fuel-injected V8 and an
overdrive transmission, this sleek and loaded coupe is easy to take
on trips near or far.
This coupe immediately stands out. There's a newer hood bird decal
done in a bold gold that looks terrific against the black. And of
course, if you love the gold against the black, those upgraded
18-inch alloys really set this one apart from any crowd. The black
paint was updated later in life. It strikes the right balance of
looking glossy but you don't have to treat it like a grand piano.
The finish and details are about owning an easy driver. And it's
fun to take this T/A out and show it off. The mid 3rd gen cars had
the louvered hood, a wraparound rear spoiler, and a front end that
sharply came to a point. It all just seemed to maximize the sporty
and aggressive style of these hidden headlight coupes.
T-tops and cloth seats are always a good combo for all-day driving.
And a Trans Am loves to be a driver's car with bucket seats, a
center console, a sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and a
full round gauge package with large speedo and tach. You have
desirable features like power windows, tinted glass, and an
electric rear defogger. Plus, the stereo is now an AM/FM/CD unit
with an aux input. The rear hatch has a powered sound system,
including Dual subwoofers with cool screens to match the exterior
alloys. So you've got some seriously upgraded driving music in this
classic Trans Am.
Another reason this is a great driver is because of what's under
the hood. The 305 cubic-inch V8 is from the factory fuel injection
years, and shows obvious signs of being well kept, and continues to
provide responsive power and consistency. And you'll appreciate
nice details like a newer alternator and an Optima battery. There
are also some nice upgrades underneath to make it a better driver.
There's a thick rear sway bar and the upgraded wheels mean you get
to fit grippy ZR-rated tires. Plus, when you add power steering,
power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive, you get a classic that's easy to
enjoy for more than just the local events.
This Trans Am has a cool look and an eager driver style. And it's
priced to really let you put your own personal touches on this
already distinctive T-top coupe. So don't miss out, call today!
