Vehicle Description
This 1965 Buick Skylark coupe has been restored to give you an
absolutely awesome two-tone paint theme. And with proper V8 power
and plenty of cool vintage details inside and out, this hardtop is
exceptional in all ways, including the price.
Buick wanted to remind people that its A-body intermediates were a
bit more upper-class, and so for the 1965 model year there was a
distinct trim line added to the roof. It's an exclusive touch that
became very important during this hardtop's restoration. Because
they upgraded the paint to a two-tone utilizing this roof trim as
the clear dividing line. The result is an almost floating-like
presence that even Cadillac would adopt within a few years. Plus,
the lower section uses the Skylark's full-length waistline crease
to crisply divide the red and black. And everything from the
high-gloss shine to the full-length pinstripe tells you this was a
thoughtful and well-invested upgrade. Bright chrome bumpers, the
correct hood emblem, portholes in the side trim, and the full-width
rear tail light panels all highlight the car's premium nature.
Rallye wheels, ribbed rockers, and dual exhaust tips give it a
touch of sporty style. It's a total package that makes for a
great-looking detail-oriented classic that you'll love to take out
on the road.
You can tell the black interior has been redone later in life just
by the way it is clean and inviting. Button-top seatbacks, Skylark
logo trim doors, a stylized dash, and a thin dual-spoke steering
wheel are all part of the experience. Even the lights in the
c-pillars and under the dash greet you when you open the door. So
just like the exterior, the interior likes to have the right
details for a cool look and a true classic. In fact, the only
upgrade you're likely to recognize is the radio is now an AM/FM
digital stereo that has a cassette player and upgraded speakers. It
keeps the classic knob-style retro feeling, but now you have much
better driving music.
The engine bay has plenty of great classic details everywhere from
the Wildcat air grabber to the Buick green engine paint. And the V8
is a sturdy powerhouse seen here in a rare 300 cubic-inch
displacement. Power steering, power brakes, and modern tires make
for a good driver. And the column-shifted three-speed manual
transmission makes it a great nostalgic cruiser.
The sale comes complete with some title documentation (including
the original from 1965,) some maintenance receipts, and pictures
from before the two-tone restoration. It's all about giving you a
distinctly sharp coupe that loves to cruise and show off its
vintage flair. Call today!!!
