This 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe has the solid look and affordable
price of a useful yet classic truck. But did you notice the stance?
You can see a hint of the traction bars and the larger rear tires.
There's even a cowl hood. So it shows a few clues that there's a
solid small block upgrade under the hood.
The red paint has a nice look to it with a good gloss that helps
highlight the well-creased style that makes these S-10s so
attractive as classics. It's a nice presentation that can just pass
for a quality classic at first glance. There's even a plastic liner
in the bed for weekend chores. The idea of this one is to be a cool
sleeper. There are little clues like the cowl hood, dual exhaust,
and Rally wheels that give this a touch of muscle car
forward-leaning stance, but overall, it just looks like that clean
and classic pickup that reminds you of a story from the good 'ol
days.
The interior continues a somewhat incognito attitude. The red
interior is clean and attractive, and even the bench seat looks
freshly recovered. The Tahoe level S-10 has some premium details
like the silver dash and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. This was even a
factory air conditioning truck, but that was sacrificed to focus on
power (more on that in a moment.) The overall impression is about
reminding you that trucks used to be a simple affair, where the
sliding rear window was considered a premium option. But even the
best stock S-10s didn't get a Corvette-style steering wheel like
you see here.
You can immediately spot the big upgrade the moment you open the
hood. These S-10s never had factory V8 power, and so it's terrific
to have a 305 cubic-inch V8 in the engine bay. It has been built
with an Edelbrock upgrade suite with a four-barrel carburetor with
an electric choke, polished valve covers, and a matching air
grabber. And you'll spot more well-placed upgrades everywhere from
the aluminum radiator with an electric fan to the true dual
exhaust. This V8 makes for a terrific power upgrade, but what
you'll also like is how this can easily just be a fun cruiser. The
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes,
and front discs make weekend drives easy.
This is the sharp-looking S-10 that also gives you more power than
Chevy ever did. So at a price like this, you know this pickup will
be gone soon. Call today!!!
