Vehicle Description
This beautiful Tuxedo Black 1969 L71 Corvette was purchased new in
May of 1969 at Harry Mann Chevrolet, Los Angeles, CA. It has been
with one owner it's entire life, and has never been restored. This
amazing Corvette time capsule has been loved and cared for its
entire life, and it's one and only owner has saved every possible
ounce of paperwork to go with the car. This includes the original
window sticker, sales paperwork, loan paperwork, owners manual(Not
a reproduction), warranty booklet with Protect-o-Plate, original
keys with knock outs, and a file folder chock full of repair
receipts going back fifty three years!! This is a collector or
restorers dream come true! This isn't just any Corvette though.
This Stingray is a L71 427CI Tri-Power 435hp monster, with 11.0:1
compression solid lifters, and transistorized ignition all from the
factory. This engine is a warranty replacement that was done at the
selling dealer in 1971. It features a CE suffix, for Chevrolet
Engine meaning it is a true warranty block. The numbers on the
block are CE951864. Please read bio written by owner in the photos
that explain why and when the engine was replaced. This beast of an
engine is mated to a M21 close ration 4-speed Muncie transmission,
and hands off power to am independent rear end with 4;11 gears and
posi-traction. The F41 Special Purpose Suspension helps to keep all
that power under control and going to the ground. J50 Power Disc
brakes help bring this beast down safely from triple digit speeds.
This is not a bare bones, knuckle dragger, street racer however.
This classy Corvette is equipped with Soft Ray tinted glass, power
windows, power steering, seat belts, AM/FM radio, fiber optic lamp
monitoring system, and tilt and telescopic steering column. The
bucket seats are covered in the classic black vinyl standard trim,
and match with the rare Tuxedo black paint finish. This Stingray
has benefitted from a recent repaint and shows very well. The paint
is super glossy and the reflection is a mile deep. The chrome
bumpers and trim are all in very good condition, and the wheels are
upgraded to American Mags 8 wide in front, and 10 at the rear.
These are not reproduction units, these were fitted at the dealer
when purchased before taking delivery of the car. This beautiful
Corvette has only lived in California and Florida, so therefor it
is a rust free example of the very collectible 68'-72' cars. You
would be hard pressed to find another one owner, black, big block
Corvette with this type of ownership history and documentation. IF
you're in the market for a survivor classic Corvette, this is as
good as it gets! Contact Brian at 352-307-1968 today!! FEES & TAX
