Vehicle Description
1957 Chevrolet BelAir Hardtop
Almost everyone in the classic car community can pick their
favorite tri five Chevy year/body style. One of the most popular
though has to be the 57 BelAir Hardtop. Something about the lack of
the post give these cars a really cool side profile with wide open
access to the interior. The clean 57 Hardtop you see here is a true
BelAir and a factory V8 car. It was also ordered with the rarely
seen Dusk Pearl body color combined with an Ivory top. It is a
really nice color combo and one you don't tend to see as often.
This car has received a frame up restoration which means although
the body was never pulled from the frame, all components have been
gone through, replaced and repaired. It has been a gradual process
but results in a very clean classic. It has also been well
maintained and if it ever needs work, it gets done. It comes with a
binder full of receipts spanning from 2011 to 2020. Based on these
receipts we can track the mileage and it appears the 2500 miles
have been put on it over the last 7-8 years. So that speaks to how
the car has been primarily used as a weekend show car. We also
believe not only has it been a Texas car all of its life but a
North Texas car as it still wears a Cleburne, TX dealer emblem on
the rear deck lid. The factory style chrome and stainless is all in
place and looks good. They are not mounted in our pictures but the
car does come with a set of rear fender skirts which are nice
accessories to have. It is surprising how a simple set of skirts
can really change up a vehicles appearance. All of the glass is in
good condition as well with no issues. The car rides on painted
wheels with Deluxe spinner hubcaps. They are wrapped with Cooper
Wide Whitewall radials which look perfect on a car of this
vintage.
The original drive train has been redone with a 350 V8 motor that
has been completely rebuilt. The most recent receipt on the car is
from just a few weeks ago when it received a new set of plugs and
plug wires. It has been fitted with finned valve covers and a
chrome air cleaner with bowtie hold down. It has headers with dual
exhaust routed out of the rear delivering a great sound through
chrome tips. Backing the motor is a Turbo 350 Automatic that has
also been totally rebuilt. It transfers power back to the
positraction 12 bolt rear end. The car was built to be a
comfortable classic to cruise around in as it has power brakes with
disc up front and an Old Air AC/Heat system. Other nice additions
include an electric fuel pump.
The interior has been redone but was kept in the original style. It
is a nice Black and Silver combination with a split front bench
seat. The dash has been kept very stock looking except for a
separate gauge pod and the AC unit which utilizes underdash mounted
vents. The stereo is an AM/FM/Cassette radio which works properly.
The trunk has nicely been redone as well. It currently houses a
spare, jack, fender skirts, Chevrolet fender covers and a car cover
all of which come with the car.
This nice little tri five classic is ready for a new home and being
offered up at a very competitive price considering all that has
been done to it!
This car could be yours for $46,000.00!
