Introduced in 1979, the 3rd generation Mustang was built on the
'Fox body' platform. The '87 model received an exterior facelift
with the 'SVO' aero treatment and body side-skirting. This
partially restored 1987 GT coupe is a nice example of this Gen3
'Hoss'. The exterior was carefully prepped and refinished (2022) in
original Polar White with GT badging. New headlights, taillights
and fog lights have been installed. Mustang GT chrome alloys mount
new 16" Kumho performance radials. The original interior has has
been well cared for and is in very good condition. Sport seats are
upholstered in factory red cloth and the GT is optioned with cold
A/C, tinted windows and an AM/FM/Cassette sound system. A new shift
boot/knob have also been fitted. The Mustang is powered by a
Windsor 302ci V8 rated at 225HP and 300lb/ft of torque with factory
9.2:1 compression, forged aluminum pistons and E7TE heads. It is
equipped with EFI fuel injection and is backed by a T-5 manual
gearbox (5-speed) and an 8.8" Trak-Lok differential. New engine
components include alternator, starter, solenoid, belts, air filter
and hood liner. The chassis is equipped with power rack/pinion
steering and power brakes (front disc 10.8"D/ rear drum 9.0"D).
Front suspension is independent MacPherson struts and the rear is
coil springs with front/rear sway bars. As part of the restoration
process the owner replaced most brake components and struts/shocks.
This good looking, nicely restored Mustang GT will not be here long
- come take a close look at this Blue Oval classic. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
