Vehicle Description
With its bright red style, lowered suspension, and five-speed
stick, this 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE is quite a sporty looking and
feeling pickup. But what you'll really love is that his classic
also has a premium bucket seat and A/C interior that makes it an
awesome all-around cruiser.
This GMC has the crisp and clean lines you like on the GM trucks of
this era. The factory Dark Red Metallic paint was given a respray
later in life. Today it has a nice balance where the metallic
element knows how to pop in the sunshine but still has a matured
style of a real driver. In fact, the overall theme just seems to be
updated for cool cruiser fun with an attitude that really wants to
hit the road. For example, the upgrade to 20-inch Ridler wheels not
only gives this plenty of added style, but you also have the
substance of newer grippy modern sport tires. And the Belltech
lowered suspension and tonneau cover give it some sleeker style.
And the pinstriping is not only running the full length of the
truck, but you also have a subtle light red design on the cab
pillar, around the tail lights, and on the tailgate.
The SLE is the premium trim spec, and the interior instantly
reminds you of that. After all, rarely are you going to find bucket
seats and a center console in a single cab, short bed pickup. There
are also power windows, cup holders, tinted glass, an upgraded
AM/FM/CD stereo, cruise control, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
They updated the gauge panel, and so it's unlikely that the
odometer represents the truck's mileage, but it does mean you get a
handy tach. And the updated steering wheel and tilt column give you
a good view of it all.
Under the hood is the correct 4.3-liter V6. This has earned the
same kind of robust reputation as the Loadmaster inline-sixes of
the Chevy 3100 era, except now you have modern fuel injection and
big torque. And the control of the five-speed manual transmission
means you can have good low-end hauling power or you can hold the
gears longer for a sporty feeling. So while we all know a lowered
pickup like this just seems ready for an LS-power upgrade, we
already like how this one is set up on day one. And this includes
the power steering, power brakes, and front discs that all make for
a package with great any-time driving appeal.
This is a clean southern truck with the right cruising attitude. So
don't let this cool and loaded GMC slip away. Call today!!!
