Vehicle Description
This 1951 Chevrolet Styleline Business Coupe is a dark and sleek
classic with the kind of details that make people take extra time
checking it out. But you'll love this for more than just the paint
and body. With an upgraded performance crate V8, upgraded
suspension featuring four-wheel disc brakes, and a custom
leather-lined A/C interior, they made sure this stylish custom was
truly built to cruise.
This is a terrific full custom style that emphasizes smoothness.
It's in the frenched headlights, shaved door handles, sport
mirrors, one-piece windshield, and flush-mounted LED tail lights.
Even the trim was deleted and replaced with paint and pinstriping.
The black paint has a nice gloss to show off the pure style of this
car. After all, with the trim deleted and the bumpers and grille
color-matched, there's added beauty in the way the light flows
across the large curves of the sheet metal. And all this darkness
draws added attention to the shine of the clear tri-bar headlights,
wide exhaust tips, and 16-inch Budnik alloys. The finish is not
perfect, but that's also not what you want. When a custom is built
to be driven, it needs to look great reflecting all the neon signs
at night. At the same time, you want an overall style that makes it
easy to cruise all night long.
The remote door openers on the key fob unlock a full custom car
experience. The unique purple is a comprehensive package including
the carpeting, door panels, headliner, and trunk. Even the digital
gauges have a cool purple glow. The upholstery is a supple purple
leather, and there's a center console running through the middle of
the whole car to give both rows true individual space. And there's
plenty more comfort with features like power windows, an AM/FM/CD
stereo, a tilt steering column, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
And we love how the Budnik steering wheel has a similar design to
the exterior alloys for that extra touch of thoughtfulness.
This is the generation before Chevy's small block era, but the V8
is such a great upgrade that they couldn't resist it for this
cruiser. The 350 cubic-inch motor looks great with the bright style
radiating within the dark and clean inner walls of the engine bay.
This is a ZZ3 performance crate motor. It inhales deeply with a
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power as shorty
headers feed the dual exhaust. And as a true cruiser, you've also
got good supporting components like an aluminum radiator with an
electric fan and the battery moved behind the rear seat for better
weight distribution. There's a solid feeling on the road, and in
fact, this was driven a few hundred miles to get to our place. What
makes it so nice are the right easy driving upgrades like the
Mustang II-style front suspension, three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
The sale comes complete with restoration photos and build receipts.
This is not only a bold-looker but also a great driver. So if you
