Vehicle Description
A value-priced bright red 1990 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is
instantly attractive. But the desire here goes much further than
affordability. It's a fun driver's car with extra details like the
side-exit exhaust and racing stripes. Plus, you control the
fuel-injected V8 with the ultra-desirable six-speed. So it's time
to have some drop-top classic Vette fun.
We like the earlier C4 Corvette design, and this was the last year
for it. It was known for its wedge shape amplified by low-slung
details like the pop-up headlights. And the factory-correct Bright
Red was resprayed later in life so that it can show off this
profile with a vibrant style. This example really uses the car's
full style to its advantage. For example, the upgraded black racing
stripe not only outlines the double-hump power dome hood, but it
also coordinates nicely with the waistline trim that encircles the
full car. And there are other cool blackout additions, like the
torque thrust wheels and side pipe style rocker trim. Add in a
well-fitting black roof, and this Corvette has the look of a
classic two-tone.
The color theme continues inside with plenty of red and black. It
remains highly stock with unique pieces, like the lighted doors, an
airbag sports steering wheel (its first year), and a nice mix of
analog and digital gauges. Plus, this is loaded with everything you
want, including power windows, power locks, power steering, a
premium AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo from Bose, cruise control, and
provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow
cold again.) And best of all it feels like a terrific driver's car.
You know it from details like the sport seats that power adjusts
for the ideal position and the FX3 ride selection system. And the
bar in the rear adds bracing while also giving you cool race-style
roll hoops. Also, don't forget to check out the build tag that
tells us this was born with a stick shift in the center
console!
The classic L98 350 cubic-inch V8 was even upgraded to the color
theme with a dark style and upgraded red accents. But what you'll
really like about the motor is the overall tidy style that tells
you that it has been properly maintained over the years. So while
it's unknown if the odometer reflects the full actual mileage, the
fuel-injected motor continues to fire up and run with an eagerness
that lets you know this is a car built for driving. After all, this
gives you the best in control with a fully independent suspension,
four-wheel power disc brakes, and the desirable six-speed. We also
bet you noticed those side pipes. They are actually routed through
much of the traditional exhaust but exit in front of the era
wheels. So you still get a nice growl while retaining more stock
components.
This is the sleek red Corvette with the right driver-ready upgrades
and overall driver-ready style. So if you love a bold drop-top that
loves the back roads, call today!
