For Sale: 1965 Porsche 356SC in Palm Desert, California

Vehicle Description

1965 Porsche 356SC.    VIN (NR.) 222075.  Built at KARMANN, KAROSSERIE, Kunstharzlack, Fabion NR. 6402       Miles 51,711

This 356 has the Certificate of Authenticity.   ‘RUBY’ is in great condition and shows that her owners have taken very good care of her over the years.  I have records from the previous owners detailing maintenance, repair and replacement of worn parts etc.  The original 75hp engine was replaced sometime in the 2000’s with the SC 90hp engine as I am told.  The engine runs like a top!   I had the carburetors completely rebuilt, re-jetted and tuned by 356 Carburetor Rescue in Sedona Arizona.   When I bought the car in 2018 the paint was not original but it was the original Ruby Red.   There were a number of small road chips and blemishes in the paint work so I had it repainted in the original Ruby Red.  The exterior paint is protected with a ceramic coating by Ceramic Pro.  All of the window and door rubber seals were all replaced when the car was painted.  The interior leather had been changed from the original factory red to black and it was in excellent condition but I wanted the car to be as original as possible so I had all of the seats and leather panels rebuilt and covered with the original factory red leather.  At this time I also had the headliner replaced with a new factory headliner.  The battery pan had been repaired but I ordered the factory pan and it was replaced.  In the last year I had Palm Springs Porsche completely service the car.  All lights, gauges, switches, knobs, handles etc. work.   It has the original owners manual.  Complete tool kit.   It has the original jack but I purchased the later sissor type jack as it’s much safer.   Brand new tires.  I purchased and had installed the protective jack points from Precision Matters as well as their new sump plate.   I will give the buyer all of the previous records that I was given.   I also purchased the Complete Workshop Manual from Porsche that covers ever single part of the car.   This is not a concourse car but it party darn good.   The service department at Porsche Palm Springs California said this is one of the best 356's they have seen that hasn't had a frame off restoration.  No accidents and it runs like a top!!
