Vehicle Description
We love these 4th gen Camaros because they had a sharply pointed
style that made an impression. And while cars like this 2000
Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 were powerful right from the factory, this
one takes it to a whole new generation...literally! It has been
upgraded with the same kind of big power LS3 V8 you found in the
best fifth-gen Camaros. And the full package shows the right
supporting upgrades to make sure this T-top coupe is fast, loaded,
and all-around awesome.
The design especially keeps the 4th gen cars in demand. Sure, we
like the retro-cool cars, too, but there's a growing allure to the
last of the knife-nosed originals. Plus, this sharp and sleek
appearance is enhanced even further here by a full custom body kit.
It's done in red to match the body, and it looks like it was all
given a quality respray at the same time. The overall effect is a
bright look of distinction that also doesn't take this car away
from its driver-ready nature. After all, most of the upgrades
you'll spot want to make this even more fun out on the road. For
example, the wheels look terrific with the means blackout style,
but they are also an upgrade in size to 17-inches. And those black
alloys kick off a well-coordinated dark side with the grill and
deeply tinted glass (including the T-tops.) The full package is all
about adding distinction. So detail lovers will even spot how the
more modern Z/28 badging was upgraded to help announce the modern
powerhouse.
The dark graphite interior works nicely with all the other darkness
on the outside. So this car looks quite sharp inside and out when
the T-tops are removed. The odometer does not reflect the full
mileage (the clean AutoCheck report shows this lifelong Texas car
had 168k miles in 2014), but with this upgraded powertrain, we are
still quite happy to see a very clean interior. It makes for an
inviting atmosphere, especially since it's also loaded with the
best features. It includes leather upholstery, a power driver's
seat, keyless entry/alarm, power windows, power locks, power
steering, cruise control, a tilt wheel, anti-lock brakes, and
cold-blowing air conditioning. The radio has been upgraded to a
Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit that features USB and Bluetooth. It
connects to an amplified speaker system, including 10-inch
subwoofers in a contoured trunk enclosure.
You'll love lifting the hood at car shows to see if people spot the
difference. These Camaros were great for launching the LS motor's
dominance on the street, but this upgraded 6.2-liter LS3 motor
means a more advanced setup that also has more displacement than
stock. These were rated at 426 horsepower in the fifth-gen Camaro,
and this benefits from further upgrades like a performance
camshaft, an SLP cold air intake, and a Lingenfelter performance
control module. There are even headers feeding a growling dual
exhaust. The 4L65 transmission four-speed automatic is a stout but
smooth unit, and it has been upgraded with a stall converter to
keep you in the ideal powerband. Four-wheel power disc brakes, the
Z/28 sports suspension, and grippy ZR-rated tires are all part of
this true power car package.
This is the Camaro with enhanced power and enhanced style. So you
know it's an irresistible deal at a price like this. Call
