Vehicle Description
Ready to float down the road in a classic convertible? Zoom Classic
Cars offers this 1964 Cadillac Deville convertible, Blue on Blue,
429 Ci - Automatic. This car was acquired in 1996 in UTAH and
believed to be a local vehicle/original owner sale with assistance
from a local broker. In 1998 the car transferred in the same family
to its current owner and was relocated to the northeast, the
current owner put approximately 35k caring miles on the car while
performing some updates & maintenance including a full engine and
transmission overhaul. For production history, this 1964 Deville
falls within Cadillacs second generation running 1961-1964, this
one with the desirable 429Ci/340Hp engine which was newly offered
in 1963/64. This classic currently sits in driver class patina and
has some fairly minor rust for a car of its age, it is believed to
have had one driver quality paint job back in 1996, overall body
panels are very solid and doors in great shape. Interior received
reupholster and a new top in 1998 (top mechanics functioning well),
all power windows work well, dashboard components all retained as
original including an inoperable "factory" radio. For those music
enthusiasts however, this Deville has it for sure, a $7k
professionally installed (high end) 650-watt system (and without
cutting up any car panel or the dash). Main components include an
Eclipse head unit (glove box mount), Eclipse 12 CD changer (trunk),
Precision amplifiers (3-total) through to FOCAL main speakers and
two JL subs, again this entire system professionally installed and
with enough punch to enjoy with the top down at cruise speed.
Current milage shown is 57k but true milage of this classic is
unknown but can be tracked starting in 1996 within the current
family and backed by numerous maintenance records including full
engine and transmission overhauls which have 35k miles since
rebuild and are running well. This car is powered by Cadillacs
429Ci/340Hp V8 mated to its automatic transmission providing plenty
of power to get this classic up to speed. Basic options include AC
(intact non-functioning), Power steering, Power brake, Power seat
track (non-functioning), Power windows, Power top. This 64 Caddy is
ready to cruise as is or an excellent candidate for continued
update or restoration. In disclosure, known issues include
non-functioning factory radio, fuel gauge slightly inaccurate but
working, power seat non-functioning, AC system intact but not
functioning. Mechanicals all work properly, all lighting fully
functional and convertible top all functional, all power windows
functional. To overview recent history, this classic received most
of its maintenance work & upgrade between 1996- 2004 and all within
its most recent 35k miles. We can break down as follows: 1996/98 -
routine maintenance, brake work, windshield, Paint, stereo/sound
system install, convertible top, reupholster interior, rear air
shocks, engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, patch driver side
floor, steering box/tie rods/front springs. 1999/2005 - alternator,
regulator, brake master cylinder, battery, rear axle bearings, 4
Pirelli tires, new carburetor, exhaust work, radiator re-core. Have
some fun, this is the Caddy of cruisers for sure, plenty of room
for all and maybe include the dog for a ride while listening to
your favorite music in class. This vehicle is located in Lower NYS
very close to Northern NJ. Call Scott at: (201) 483-0388. NOTE: See
