We are very proud to present this beautiful 1957 Thunderbird E code. This car is one of only 1449 E codes produced and one of only 967 of those with an automatic transmission. (Per CTCI)

FEARTURES INCLUDE:

312 CI V-8 270 HP (Original Rebuilt)
Dual 4 bbl Carburetors (Correct, Rebuilt)
C3 Auto Transmission (Correct, Rebuilt)
Power Steering
Wire Wheels
Steel Wheels

The car was treated to two phases of restoration.  The current towner purchased the car in 2014 and the previous owner had done the following:
1-Rebuilt Engine, Drive Train and Differential
2-Rebuilt Cooling System
3-Rebuilt Brakes, Bearings, Shocks, and Ball Joints
4-New Leaf Springs, Coils Powder Coated
5-New Interior, Seats, Door Panels, Carpet
6- Rebuilt Hard Top, New Head Liner, Paint, Rubber Moldings and Clamps
7- New Gas Tank

The previous owner said he had put just about 100 miles on the car since the restoration.

The second phase of restoration came after the current owner purchased the car in Arizona in January of 2014. From 2014 until 2022 these items were done:

1- Convertible Top- Frame powder coated, new hardware and canvas.
2- Steering Wheel - New smaller diameter (original included)
3-Transmission- Someone had replaced the original 3 speed automatic with a 4 speed manual. The owner brought it back to it's original automatic
4- New Padded Dash in 2018 (some bubbling on top of instrument panel)
5- Tonneau Cover
6- Both carburetors were rebuilt and a new coil installed
7- Power Steering- All rebuilt
8-Battery- New
9-Oil Change 2022
10-Radio- Original Town and Country radio rebuilt and added PDA connection
11- Air Cleaners- 2 Extra high performance ones were installed
12- Hood scoop blocking plate ( for winter use)

The current owner has put under 1000 miles on the car since 2014.

The interior, which was done just before 2014, is still in excellent condition. The color code on the data plate shows this car to be all Flame Red, body, hard top, and interior.

The Town and Country Radio has been rebuilt and works as it should. There was also a PDA connection added to it.

The Baby Birds were non A/C cars and if you find one with under dash air, it was added later.

The tonneau cover is a nice addition. It not only covers the cockpit, but when folded down behind the seat acts as the cover for the soft top.

The trunk is finished off beautifully and contains the spare and original type jack.

The engine compartment is very well detailed. The current owner has been meticulous in his further restoration of this beauty.

The E code Thunderbird was Ford's answer to the car that could eat up the Corvette and still look fantastic cruising the streets of Beverly Hills. This 312 engine was completely rebuilt and the distinctive air breather gives away the fact that it's an E code as soon as you open the hood.

The E code Thunderbird was Ford's answer to the car that could eat up the Corvette and still look fantastic cruising the streets of Beverly Hills. This 312 engine was completely rebuilt and the distinctive air breather gives away the fact that it's an E code as soon as you open the hood.

The engine compartment is correct right down to the carburetors, which are the correct numbered tea pot style, and the correct distributor.

The battery is new and has a quick disconnect.

The undercarriage is nicely detailed. The frame had been powder coated back when the previous owner started his restoration.

We have noticed no leaks under the car at all.

The wire wheels are all in perfect condition. There are no rub marks or scuffs. The current owner uses these wheels for show and for long distance driving prefers the steel wheels.

The soft top frame is recently restored and in excellent condition. It was powder coated and the canvas top is new.

One minor flaw is the rear bumper. It was re chromed, but has a  little area beginning to chip.

You will see the 2 options of wheel covers that come with the car. You will get the wire wheels that are on it and the factory steel wheels, with spare, and these 2 sets of covers.

This is your opportunity to own a very nice, driver friendly beautiful classic 57 T-Bird. It's a truly collectible car but not one you would be afraid to drive to a local show.

We have over 180 photos of this car. Please let us know if you want to see more.

Again, please feel free to call Maris at 214-616-2317 with questions. I would be happy to assist with financing and shipping.
