For Sale: 1987 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson in Lithia Springs, Georgia
No one had to tell you that this 1987 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat is a
very custom machine. Even a casual glance will recognize a ton
invested in this two-tone pickup. And while it has a lot of unique
details inside and out, it's the performance-built V8 power that
will make this one absolutely irresistible to you.
This year launched a new generation of Ford's F-Series pickup, and
it debuted a flat front end that was as intimidating as the
original F-Series. This custom turns it up a few notches with a big
custom chrome grille leading the way. And the chin spoiler keeps
the billet-style looking going and adds plenty of extra lighting.
The side shows off a cool red and gray two-tone. Plus, the full
body kit looks great with the flared fenders and integrated side
steps. And everything from the Eagle Alloy wheels to the exhaust
tips add polish and attitude to this total package. While this has
the look to be a great custom classic cruiser, it also never loses
its pickup truck practicality. That's why nothing on the full
package ever looks too fancy to get to work. And you also have a
full bed liner, wide towing mirrors, and a proper trailer
hitch.
The interior has a comfortable full red package. This has good
fundamentals, including plush carpeting and a smooth dash to make
sure this is a nice place to spend some time. There are dual
high-back bucket seats, and they both have fold-down armrests on
each side. So you can just imagine eating up plenty of highway
miles in the Ford. And this feeling of long-haul comfort is
furthered by features like dual fuel tanks and cruise control.
Plus, this has even more features that are good for near or far,
like power windows, power locks, a custom cup holder center
console, a classic CB radio, a sliding rear window, an
AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for air conditioning (it will
need servicing to blow cold again.)
Ford's 351 cubic-inch V8 was a great motor to have in this
generation F-Series. But since this has been such a custom machine
thus far, it also likes to remind you that these hardy motors love
upgrades. So this is the kind of build that would make a Mustang
proud. The V8 is said to be built with bored cylinders, 10.2:1
compression, a hydraulic-lifter camshaft, Trick Flow Twisted Wedge
cylinder heads, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and topped with
a Holley 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. Plus, it's supported by a
Mallory ignition, Mallory distributor, and steel braided lines with
AN fittings. It fires up with a sweet sound as BBK Performance
headers add power and also contribute to the rumble of the
Flowmaster dual exhaust. And while this is powerful, it's also
practical. That's why you have power steering, power brakes, front
discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive.
Custom, powerful, loaded, and affordable - this is the distinct
pickup that gets it right. So you need it right now. Call
