Up for sale this week at Canyon State Classics is a very clean 1996
Porsche 911 1996 Porsche Carrera C4S Coupe. 1997 marked the final
year of Turbo air cooled production for the US market and were
extremely had to get in the early 2000s, so this car was built to
fill the gap for an owner that wanted Turbo Look and Performance.
Only 1091 units of the 993 c4s were brought to North America in its
second to final year. For anyone just learning about 993 Widebody
cars, the C4S essentially was a Turbo, without the engine. The C4S
received same body look, suspension, brakes and AWD system shared
with the Turbo.
The car was bought brand new here at Porsche North Scottsdale in AZ
and remained with the original owner for only a few years and was
sold to the current owner with less than 10k miles with around 8k
miles. He commissioned this car be sent to Evolution Motorsports,
which was a well known name in Porsche Tuning here in Phoenix in
the late 90s early 2000s. He dealer ordered any and all factory
turbo equipment from turbos, to intercooler, to piping and exhaust
system. None of this system is built from aftermarket. We are
leaning towards internal strengthening of components but sadly have
not been able to come up with receipts from the custom builder.
That is the only missing piece of the puzzle, but a 400hp dyno run
is pretty good proof this motor was well built. Leak down also came
back around 5% across all cylinders. The current owner who I am
representing has religiously serviced it here locally at the
selling dealership all the way up to current with $10k in service
performed in last 1k miles. This car was driven consistently and
always serviced every few years weather it was acquiring miles or
not. The dealership service system shows 28 total dealership visits
since 1996 not counting the time it was being modified by Evolution
Motorsports having the OEM turbo equipment installed. Don't miss
your chance to own a very hard to find Porsche at one of the lowest
price points in the country as equipped and optioned.
The following is a list of options as this Carrera Turbo is
currently equipped:
- 3.6L 400hp VarioRam Twin Turbo 6 Cyl.
- 6 Speed Manual Transmission
- All Wheel Drive
- 4 Wheel Brembo Disc Brakes (Standard)
- 18" RUF 5 Spoke Alloys from Germany
- Climate Control (Standard)
- Optional Speed Control (Code 454)
- Power Sunroof (Option Code 688)
- Power Hardback Sport Heated Seats
- Power windows (Standard)
- Power mirrors (Option Code 398)
- HiFi Custom Sound System
- GT2 Style Wing and Ground Effects
This Porsche's classic Guards Red paint is gorgeous and was just
fully buffed and hand waxed. The body on the car is laser straight,
and does not have even a single door ding. The car is arrow
straight and is Carfax and Autocheck certified. This 911 has always
been garage kept and pampered its entire life and really shows. The
car is riding on its high dollar RUF 18" Staggered wheels that the
owner personally walked in RUF in Germany and ordered when on
vacation! They are all in great condition with zero curb rash of
any kind and are wrapped in high tread Michelin tires which were
installed by the Porsche dealership a few years ago. The car has a
nice slightly lowered stance thanks to Eibach lowering springs.
The beautiful black supple full leather interior is all original
and looks like great. The hardback sport leather seats are in
amazing shape with no scuffs or deep ware lines. Everything works
in the car.. lights, gauges, radio, seats, windows, locks, a/c
blows ice cold, etc. The stereo system has been fully upgraded and
features extra speakers are amplified units and sound perfect with
the Alpine CD Player. The car will also include 2 keys, 1
remotes.
Mechanically, this Porsche is in great condition and runs and
drives great. It has very healthy and very quick. This car boasts
400bhp and flys 0-60 in 3.7 sec with a top speed of 184mph (Stock
993TT Turbo Specs) This is the second to last year for the
Vario-Ram technology in the 993, and for the legendary air cooled
flat 6 TURBO. The car has a very strong 6-Speed manual transmission
that shifts perfect and was recently removed, inspected and
resealed by Porsche, and this beauty will take any road you can
throw at it. This car has been looked over by our shop and had need
service work completed including updated turbo oil line check
valves, rebuilt steering rack, A/C service, oil service, brake
fluid flush, tie rod boots and dyno test. This car is very clean
under the hood and really shows how its previous owner took
excellent care of it.
This car is ready to go! The exterior of this C4S Turbo is stunning
in Guards Red with Supple Black Leather interior and is definitely
the most desired color combination for the 911. This car is an
excellent value and is a lot of car for the money, and with these
well serviced miles...you cant go wrong. These air cooled Porsches
are going up faster than any investment you can put your money away
in, so enjoy your saving while making an assured profit on this
911!
This car has a clean Arizona title and clean Carfax and Autocheck.
