Meet the new king of the cruise-in night. This 1972 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille is one of the longest two-door vehicles Cadillac ever sent
out into the world. This example makes sure to uphold that feeling
with a well-preserved style that also has the right upgrades. The
result is a loaded hardtop that wants to be out there and seen by
everyone.
We love seeing these coupes in highly correct condition because
they are a time capsule reminder of what American luxury was all
about. The extra-long sleek lines announced to the world you were
enough of a big shot to take up acreage on the highway. But part of
this attitude also includes the right investments. For example, the
turquoise paint is a newer application, and it has a terrific
metallic shine. So you get the radiance you want in a premium
classic. And there are terrific details, like the boldly pointed
front bumper, fenders skirts, classic wheel covers, and the upright
rear light housing that gave these Cadillacs a hint of the iconic
tailfin. And we especially like how the white vinyl roof is a
"halo" top that stops the vinyl top before the drip rail for a
floating kind of style. If you were looking for perfection, then
the value price will help you invest in the roof, trim, and other
details. But that would also be missing the point of this DeVille.
It's the kind of car that has a bright and complete style where
it's easy to take anywhere and you get respectful nods
everywhere.
With an exterior this large, you can expect there's enough space
inside for this car to qualify as an addition on your home. So it's
great to have the full turquoise interior looking so vintage and
cool. It's quite complete, and its cruiser-ready attitude means a
smooth dash, plenty of wood-like trim, a nice headliner, and good
door panels. And you'll love pointing out the little things, like
the laurel-like stitching in the seatbacks, the Cadillac branded
matching floor mats, and how the lights in the c-pillars and doors
all still greet you. But it never gets too fancy where you won't
invite everyone along for a ride. The front and rear have fold-down
armrests so you can decide if you want to drive all your family and
friends in comfort or just give a few of the right people personal
luxury space. Besides just the room to relax, this Caddy has plenty
of comfort for the driver with features like a power seat, power
windows, power locks, an upgraded alarm, a tilt steering column,
and provisions for air conditioning (it's upgraded to R134a
refrigerant but it will need servicing to ideally function
again.)
A Cadillac is a cool cruiser, and so they gave it a huge 472
cubic-inch V8 motor. Topped with a four-barrel carbonator, it has
the kind of torque that makes this coupe a true boulevard machine.
It has been maintained nicely, including newer items like an
aluminum radiator, plug wires, coil, and the exhaust. The cruising
attitude is heightened by a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front.
And the feeling going down the road is the proper Cadillac
cloud.
The sale comes complete with maintenance records and title
documentation that includes the original 1972 Georgia tile (yes,
this is a southern Caddy!) If you hurry, you can now enjoy
king-sized luxury at an economy car price. Call today!!!
