Pickup Truck for purchase. The Advance Design trucks rolled out by
GM were radically different in 1947 than pre-WWII pickups. Before
this time, pickups produced were essentially glued on flat beds to
whatever was produced. GM made a truck that was designed for more
than just having a place to put stuff. It was a full on new version
of the automobile and sales took off.
This is a frame off restoration of an American classic restored
close to original specifications. It is powered by a 216ci inline 6
cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission that are believed
to be original to the truck. It has been converted to a 12-volt
setup and features new steel brake lines, new brake shoes, new
wheel cylinders, an upgraded dual master cylinder, all new glass,
electric wipers, and new upholstery. This truck was completed in
2015 and the restoration has held up amazingly well. It presents
itself with a lot of curb appeal in Sunburnt Copper paint. This
truck runs and drives great and is a really cool classic to cruise
around in. Finding great examples of these legendary trucks is very
