Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to offer this amazing and
rare 1987 Buick Grand National. A 1987 Buick Grand National is
already the kind of classic that makes you weak in the knees. But
then we can add the best identifiers like "believed to be 62k
original miles" and "survivor Grand National". So read all the
details, because this loaded and ready black stallion has a story
to tell.
As most of you may already know, the Grand National is one of the
rarest and most sought-after Buick's in all of the classic car
market. The car was discontinued by General Motors after it
continually ran better numbers than the Corvette from Chevrolet.
Even with a 3.8L 6-cylinder motor, this turbo-charged beast took
down competitor after competitor. The black paint shows well on
this car, but not perfect. Accentuated by beautiful Grand National
logos, 3.8 SF Turbo badging on the hood, and a eye catching body
shape, this rare GN will definitely look great in your garage or
collection.
The interior received the right attention to make sure it is as
clean and well preserved as the exterior. The original gray bucket
seats up front do a terrific job of balancing out the comfortable
image of a Buick with extra bolstering for the Grand National's
added performance. Also, as a true high-end Buick, this comes
loaded with all the best features. It includes a power driver's
seat, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power steering,
and the rare optional AM/FM/cassette stereo w/equalizer. But what's
most important is the feeling you get when you slip behind the
three-spoke steering wheel. It's designed to give you a clear view
of the original instrument package. And we just love how Buick
retained the Regal's large horizontal speedometer, but also gave
the GN its own tach and boost gauge right in the display.
Under the hood is what truly makes this car a legend. The 3.8-liter
turbocharged V6 was a controversial engine among enthusiasts and
collectors, solely because of the power output for such a small
motor. Plus, this features like front disc brakes, sway bars front
& rear, and a limited slip rear end make sure this handles like a
proper turbocharged sports machine should. But remember, the
four-speed automatic transmission is not only there for quick
shifting action but also for overdrive comfort. So you'll get just
as much pleasure out of this one chewing up the asphalt as you will
cruising under the midnight neon.
This is a true legend with a story to tell.. An opportunity as
something this interesting and powerful is rarely this obtainable.
