Dodge Ramcharger AW-100. Modifications are limited and tasteful
accenting the factory attributes that make these tough looking
early SUVs so popular yet keeping this vehicle from looking
overdone. The look is just right on this clean 4X4. The two-tone
blue paint is nicely applied matching the original factory colors
and has been well maintained with a nice luster. The factory
stainless steel is all present and shines nicely and the chrome
bumpers appear to be new. The suspension has been slightly lifted
to accommodate oversize tires with alloy wheels that give this
rugged Ramcharger just the right amount of muscularity. The ram
hood ornament is glorious on this truck, certainly embracing this
as the spirit animal of this four-wheeler and its owner. Looking
out over the hood it assures you this truck is more than capable to
handle any obstacles the road or trail throws at you, head on!
Inside the interior has been well maintained and presents as
original. The seat upholstery is clean showing little wear or color
fading. The carpet has been replaced and fits well and is nicely
installed. The dash features a simulated wood trim framing factory
gauges that monitor voltage, coolant temperature and oil pressure.
This Ramcharger while rugged, features some pretty luxurious
options including power windows, tilt steering, air conditioning
and cruise control. The factory radio has been upgraded with a
Nakamichi AM/FM Radio with Aux input and 4-way speaker system.
Under the hood the engine compartment is clean and nicely detailed.
The 5.9 litre V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock AVS2 Performer
4bbl carburetor with electric choke. A set of chrome valve covers,
and chrome open element air cleaner add some shine under the hood.
Power is transferred through a 3 speed 727 TorqueFlite automatic
transmission to a manually shifted transfer case with front locking
hubs and rear Weller limited slip differential. Underneath, as
expected from a California vehicle, the floorboards and frame are
free of rust and have been lightly detailed. The Power brakes
features front disc brakes and the rears have been upgraded to
disc, replacing the factory drum set-up. The 3 lift is completed
through a full BDS Nitro Series kit. The chassis has been well
maintained including fresh exhaust system, new shocks, and brake
lines. As shown in the photos this 4-wheeler is rust-free and very
clean and well kept. Finding a 40-year-old off road vehicle in this
kind of condition is rare indeed. This will make a great cruiser
sure to attract plenty of thumbs up wherever you go, be it on the
