Vehicle Description
With its upgraded V8 power and the control of a five-speed, this
1940 Ford Coupe earns its sporty style. And the upgraded
suspension, comfy leather seats, an A/C interior, and plenty of
other thoughtful details mean this stylish custom street machine
also has an everyday easy kind of appeal.
This coupe has good body lines, clear glass, and pliable weather
stripping which makes for a solid classic. But that's not what
caught your eyes first. The blue paint gives this coupe a bright
presence to be a standout in any crowd. It's a string and glossy
application that's so attractive that we like how it even consumes
traditionally chromed pieces like the grille and bumpers. This also
means the remaining brightwork prices have added distinction as
there's now more attention drawn to the teardrop headlights and
Weld-style racing wheels with a meatier rear set. And speaking of
the rear wheels, the steel body is upgraded with fiberglass fenders
so that the modern/larger wheels and tires can nicely tuck into the
classic design. There are more of the right custom details,
including the turn signals within the headlight housing and a
frenched license plate. It all makes for a distinct and thoughtful
style.
The moment you open the door, you can see that the old 1930s-style
interior has been replaced with a full custom and comfy setup. That
means two late-model leather bucket seats upfront with proper
headrests for all-day comfort. Yours even power adjusts to the
ideal driver's position. The rear vinyl sets even have good
contouring for added coziness. There are nice extras for a
comfortable cruiser you don't see on too many street machines, like
heated seats, power windows, and cold-blowing air conditioning.
Plus, the upgraded sports steering wheel, tilt steering column,
billet pedals, and clear instrument Stewart Warner gauge package.
And the tach goes particularly well with the Hurst shifter.
The clean and smooth inner walls of the engine bay contain plenty
of V8 power. This is a 400 cubic-inch small block. It has some nice
flair with the added polish from the valve covers, alternator, and
air grabber. But what you'll love best is that this V8 is built
with the right performance pieces, like FloTek aluminum heads, a
Pro Form four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, a
Mallory ignition system, and headers feeding the dual exhaust and
Flowmaster mufflers. You take proper control over this enhanced
power package with the T5 five-speed manual transmission. It's the
kind of coupe that you're going to want to drive and so they also
upgraded this with a Mustang II-style front end, power steering,
front discs, and a rear sway bar.
Great looks, great power, great features, and a unique personality
