Auto City Classics in Isanti, MNUseful info - ECM is located behind
glove box, if you have to get to it you will need to cut the two
zip ties holding the right A/C duct up behind the dash. Then,
remove all the screws holding the glove box liner. The liner comes
out the bottom of the dash, tip the left end down first and gently
work it out. That will expose the ECM. The diagnostic connector is
tucked away above the right kick panel. You will need an older OBD1
capable scanner such as a Snap-On MT2500. If the battery is
disconnected, the ECM will need to relearn its idle and timing
curves. This is normal for any 89 Mustang ECM but with the
aftermarket cam, heads, intake, and exhaust its more noticeable
until it finishes relearning. It may stall, backfire under load, or
pop during deceleration but it will come out of it. The top fan
switch for the heater does nothing after being converted to Vintage
Air. The left lever is fan speed, up is off, down is high. The
middle lever is temp, up is cold, down is hot. The right is air
flow, up is vent, middle is floor, and down is defrost. After
refueling, you usually have to rotate the steel cable through the
gas cap to get it to align again. The adjustable thermostat for the
cooling fan is on the inside of the radiator support on the drivers
side. Always pull the hood release handle as youre closing the hood
or it will latch on the wrong side of the secondary catch. If that
happens you have to unbolt the rod on the underside of the hood
through the hood to grill gap.As long as you get a 15x6 with 3.75
backspacing and a 5x4.50 bolt pattern it will fit exactly the same.
Yes the bolt pattern is the same all through the wheel. At this
point were talking leaving Friday after work and driving straight
through so we would be there early Saturday morning. Visit
