Ford has been producing the Mustang for well over 50 years and
after many generations its appearance remains remarkably similar to
the original concept introduced in 1964. This beautiful 1965 2+2 is
a fully restored example of this popular American icon. The
fastback was recreated as a 'tribute' to the Mustang GT350. The
owner has provided extensive documentation with the car that
defines procedures/parts used in the restoration process. Before
any bodywork was done the entire underside was completely
reconditioned including all floor pans. The straight body was then
carefully prepped and meticulously refinished in RedFire, an '06
Mustang GT color. White hood/side strips provide Mustang GT350
accents. Mustang 'Cobra' spoke alloys w/period correct redline
radials give the exterior a great stance. The interior was
reupholstered in Black vinyl. Door cards, carpeting and dash and
are all in outstanding condition. The fastback is equipped with a
classic Mustang steering wheel, factory gauges, tinted windows,
front seat belts and an AM/FM/Bluetooth sound system. Based on the
VIN number, this 'C-code' Mustang left the factory with a 289/2V
200hp powerplant and the owner states that the current powerplant
is a 289ci Windsor. It was totally rebuilt in 2012 and is fitted
with an Edelbrock aluminum intake, four-barrel carburetor and
electronic ignition. Exhaust is routed through tube headers to a
custom exhaust with Mustang GT 'trumpet' rear outlets. The Windsor
is backed by a 3-speed manual gearbox and the chassis has manual
steering, manual 4-wheel drum brakes and all new
suspension/steering components. This Mustang GT350 'tribute' will
quickly find a new home - be that your Blue Oval garage? ALL
