Stainless over Black Interior with Automatic Gearbox Dreamed up and
conceived by John Z. DeLorean, with whom it shares its name, and
engineered by Lotus, the DeLorean DMC-12 debuted in 1981. The
DeLorean is a rear-engine two-passenger sports car that is truly
one of a kind. Sporting gullwing doors, an angular form and a
completely stainless-steel finish, the DMC-12 stands out in any
crowd. Although the execution missed the mark and only 9,000 units
were produced, the DeLorean is quite the cult favorite. Popularized
by the Back to the Future franchise, many enthusiasts have inquired
as to how they can install a flux capacitor that provides 1.21
gigawatts of power so that they can time travel just like Doc Brown
did in the 1985 classic. Production slowed due to inconsistencies
and ultimately ceased in 1982 which caused the company to go
bankrupt shortly thereafter. DeLorean desperately tried to secure
funding to get the company back on its feet but ended up becoming
involved in darker issues with the government which effectively
destroyed any hope of reviving his company. Presented here is a
single owner, 3,310-miled DeLorean that is equipped with multiple
dealer options that include a twin turbo kit, ground effects,
spoiler, and stripe kit, giving it many unique qualities. Powered
by the standard 2.85L V6 and an automatic transmission, this DMC-12
is ready to hit the road. The exterior stainless steel has been
polished well and the ground effects give the aesthetic an even
sportier feel. The gullwing doors are a fan-favorite and a sight to
see. The interior cockpit sports black leather buckets that show
little to no wear and grey carpeting throughout. The cabin also
comes complete with floor mats in each wheel-well displaying the
DMC logo. The front trunk, or frunk, compartment provides ample
hauling room for any items that you might need to bring along with
you. The vehicle has also undergone an extensive tune-up as of
February of this year and is ready to be transported to its new
owner. It can be said that Doc said it best when he uttered, The
way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why
not do it with some style?. The DeLorean DMC-12 is nothing short of
style and will transport anyone exactly where they would love to
be. Although it may not be back in time, you can sure bet that this
vehicle will make any adventure a once in a lifetime one. Please
