Vehicle Description
Here's an iconic 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with its
numbers-matching small block, four-on-the-floor, and a terrific
sense of style. And everything from the shine of the paint to
investment in the suspension really makes it the kind of drop-top
classic you'll love to drive.
Nassau Blue is a great factory color to give you both a bright and
sporty first impression. This is a more modern clearcoat respray
that likes to radiate in the sunlight, and so, it's ideal on a
sunshine-friendly drop-top. Plus, the tropical water feel of the
blue combines with the snug-fitting convertible top to look like a
cresting ocean wave. But there's more to admire than just color.
The doors shut solid; the hood and trunk line up nicely; the
weather-stripping feels fresh; and the glass is clean. You'll also
love the classic brightwork package that has a radiant shine
everywhere from split chrome bumpers to rocker trim. It does go for
some added speedy flair with the upgraded big block hood. Plus, the
added polished slotted mag wheels and Mickey Thompson raised white
letter tires are a cool upgrade to give this added distinction
while still looking vintage.
As attractive as this is with the roof in place, the car looks even
better with the top down. The factory-correct bright blue interior
harmonizes with the exterior color for a European-like level of
sophistication. The door panels, dash pad, upholstery, and
carpeting all have the kind of look that instantly signal quality
care and the right investments. This has been thoughtfully done to
appear stock everywhere you look, right down to working details
like the clock, Delco AM/FM radio, power antenna, and courtesy
lights. A Sting Ray like this was meant to be driven. That's why
you have a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel that gives you an
excellent view of the full gauges, including large speedo and tach.
And you know that bright stick shift is just calling out for your
right hand.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 327 cubic-inch V8. It has a
tidy look with the Corvette-script valve covers, bright air
grabber, and bold orange block. As you look closer, you'll also see
good supporting pieces, like the upgraded coil, a newer belt, and a
newer alternator. This is the more powerful L79 spec motor, and it
inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. This makes for
a strong-running motor that loves to hit the road, and you take
full control of the V8 with the Muncie four-speed manual
transmission. And speaking of confident control, the fully
independent suspension has had a more recent front-end rebuild. The
rear also has newer arms, bushings, and transverse leaf springs.
Add in four-wheel disc brakes, and this Sting Ray is the one you
can really enjoy to the fullest.
Complete with the owner's manual, this is a distinct drop-top Vette
with a cool color combo, the allure of numbers-matching, and an
all-around fun vintage attitude. The only thing missing in this
complete package is you. Call today!!!
