Vehicle Description
2002 Dodge Viper RT-10 - Final Year of the Second Gen Viper - Texas
Car - Red over Black Interior with Removable Targa Top - 8.0L V10
with 450HP - 6 Speed Manual - Center Exhaust - All Stock and Well
Cared For In 1996, the all-new Second Generation Dodge Viper was
introduced evolving from a barely tamed brute of a machine to a
more well balanced performance machine than it had been in its
first incarnation. Although the 2nd-gen Viper looks the same, it is
a very different car underneath it's skin. For the Viper's second
generation, Dodge redesigned the chassis, suspension, and brakes to
make the car more manageable without losing its over-the-top
performance. Engine power was still provided courtesy of an 8-liter
V-10 engine with 415 hp for the roadster version, and 450 hp for
the new Viper GTS coupe. The roadster later received the uprated
engine in 1998 and thereafter. Garage Kept Motors is excited to
present this 2002 Dodge Viper RT-10 which is the last model year
for the Second Gen Viper. The car featured here is originally from
Texas and has been very well cared for and maintained. There is not
a sexier combination on a super car than bright red paint over
black interior. The paint has been well preserved and presents with
a brilliant shine. The removable Targa top quickly transformers
this Viper into an open-air roadster. There is no greater thrill
then running through the six-speed manual gear box on a curvy back
road as this V-10 roars through the center exhaust out the rear
behind you. The cabin of this Viper still presents as nearly new
with little if any wear on the upholstery and carpet. The dash
features full factory gauges with dual factory air bags and factory
Alpine AM/FM/CD player. Other options include factory power
windows, power locks, power windows, tilt steering and air
condition. Under the hood has been kept clean and well detailed and
presents nearly showroom fresh with all factory decals and assembly
markings still present. The 8.0L V10 450HP is all stock and clearly
well maintained with the dealership maintenance records to support
this outstanding care. Underneath the chassis continues the theme
of this well-preserved vehicle with many of the factory markings
and decals still in place. The improvements to the four-wheel
independent suspension in the 2nd-Gen Vipers performs well capable
of 1.01g on the skid pad. 2002 is the second year of anti-lock
four-wheel disc brakes, which beyond that the Vipers of this
generation never offered any kind traction or stability control so
in the end it is up to the driver to keep the big 18R275 Radial
tires firmly planted to the pavement. The characteristic deep
rumbling exhaust note of the center exhaust is unmistakable and
warns Corvette owners the Viper is ready to strike! This Viper is
fully capable of accelerating from 0-60 in 4 seconds flat, 0-100 in
8.6 seconds, and turn a quarter mile in 12.2 seconds, with an
honest top speed of 185 mph! Performance enthusiasts are hard
pressed to find a more gutsy sports car that is sure bring a smile
to your face while powering down the freeway, a winding back road
or even on the track! Please call if interested or e-mail with
specific questions. Thank you for looking. Front Air
