Vehicle Description
This 1966 Cadillac Deville is a big V8 cruiser that defined what a
cool cruising convertible is. So when one of the most desirable
drop-tops around is also this nicely priced, you know it's time to
take a closer look.
The 1966 Deville has a dignified distinction. The stacked
headlights are imposing without being aggressive, and the tailfins
are for lovers of pure symmetry. Plus, the long sides just seem to
be as long as a city block thanks to the way the full side trim and
fender skirts give this an uninterrupted kind of appearance. So you
know why these are such iconic classics. The form-fitting front
chrome bumpers, intricately-styled grille, and well-fitting
convertible top are all part of a complete and attractive style.
And the white paint is like a reminder that a good classic is a
great canvas for you to create something personal and special.
While the top looks quite good when in place, it gets even better
when you take it down. The two-tone black and white interior is a
later upgrade and so it has a nice level of style and comfort.
There's plenty of luxury with a power front seat, power locks,
plenty of passenger space, and provisions for factory air
conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) This even
has power windows and a power convertible top so you can open the
car up to the world without leaving the driver's seat. And even
you'll appreciate the little details everywhere from the Cadillac
emblems in the doors to the black convertible boot. And because
this one likes to be a proper cruiser, there are also nice upgrades
like a movable cup holder center console and an AM/FM/CD stereo
hidden in the glovebox.
The 350 cubic-inch engine with a four-barrel carburetor on top is a
great Oldsmobile motor. The full setup has a very honest look, but
there's also an added flair with Edelbrock air cleaner and polished
valve covers. There are even some nice upgrades to keep this a true
cruiser, like the HEI distributor and a newer dual exhaust system.
The big torque of the V8 moves all this sheet metal with ease,
especially when paired with the TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission. Plus, power steering and power brakes make for a
desirable driving package on this classic Caddy.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual packet and spare
components. You will find areas to improve on this classic. The
idea is to give you a value price so that there's room in your
budget to update and personalize the paint, body, suspension,
bushings, tires, and/or luxury features to make your ideal Caddy.
And from day one, you get to take down the roof and experience the
strong yet smooth nature that's the fundamental attraction of a
classic convertible. So if you want the ultimate cruiser that also
lets you give it a custom touch, call today!
