Vehicle Description
All 1970 Chevrolet Chevelles are desirable classics that can carry
family and friends in style, but this Super Sport tribute is really
out to deliver a memorable experience. It's a deep blue hardtop
with a performance-built big block that also has an upgraded
overdrive transmission for all-around easy cruising. So it makes
for a coupe that's bold, distinct, powerful, and all-around
fun.
Fathom Blue is a great classic Chevelle color, and so it's great to
have this coupe upgraded into that tradition. More than just
history, this has plenty of gloss in the sunshine, and it creates a
nice backdrop for the iconic dual white SS stripes painted on top.
And this really has all the right upgrades for the aggressive SS
look, including the power bulge in the super scoop hood, hood pins,
wide dual exhaust tips, and mag-style wheels. Plus, you'll notice
an overall quality kind of style with nice body lines, pliable
weather-stripping, and clean glass. And the way the form-hugging
bumpers shine like mirrors really make for a terrific American
icon.
The black interior has a nice look against the dark blue exterior.
The smooth dash, good carpeting, and complete door panels make for
an inviting driver's car. It's nicely detailed for the right
classic car experience, including the texture of the vinyl, the
working dome light, and a bright center console with horseshoe
shifter. There have been some upgrades to remind you this is a true
muscle car, like the auxiliary gauges and shift light on the
steering column. But there are also the right touches of a true
cruiser. The tilt steering wheel makes it more comfortable to
drive, and the AM/FM/CD stereo gives you better music going down
the road.
The engine bay loves to showcase its big block power with a tidy
style. The fresh paint, polished Moroso valve covers, and newer
hoses (including steel braided ones) are all quite attractive. But
what you'll love best is a 454 cubic-inch V8 that's built for added
power. It includes upgrades like a Holley four-barrel carburetor,
Weiand stealth intake, MSD digital ignition, and long tube headers
feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. It's a powerful
package, and it connects to a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission. Not only are these known to be strong, but it's even
believed this one was upgraded with a TCI torque converter. This
feeds the 12-bolt rear end. So you have the right equipment to get
the power to the pavement. But more than just a true muscle car,
the power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide tires make
for a solid cruiser. And don't forget, the four-speed transmission
means overdrive for highway-ready comfort.
