For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet C10 in Houston, Texas

Vehicle Description

This 1972 Chevrolet C10 is powered by a recently rebuilt 350ci V8 engine backed by a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a Vintage Air climate control system, lowered suspension, short-bed conversion, relocated fuel tank, power steering, and power brakes. Refinished in black and white two-tone over a black vinyl interior, this C10 is available now and comes with a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.

A complete vehicle refinish in a black over white two-tone was completed approximately nine years ago. The seller notes that the back of the cab, bedsides, bed floor, and roof of the cab was refinished seven months ago. Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, a shaved cab fuel filler hole, a Craftec hinged black canvas tonneau cover, a short Fleetside bed conversion with cut and welded bedsides and floor, a black Holley bed mat, and white custom accent striping. Newly installed parts include the grille, grille surround, mirrors, door handles, and door latches.

A set of 20-inch US Mags U111 Rambler wheels is wrapped in Continental radial tires.

An aftermarket Snowden custom bench seat with built-in cup holders is upholstered in black vinyl. Features include new black carpeting, gloss black interior sheet metal, and black vinyl door panels with manual windows, Trique Manufacturing Altman Easy Latch Kit door latches, a floor-mounted Lokar automatic transmission shifter, power steering, and power brakes. Additional features include an AM/FM/CD digital stereo, a Vintage Air climate control system and panel, a 1970s three-spoke GM steering wheel, and a black steel dashboard with a black vinyl top pad.

The set of Dakota Digital analog gauges includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and temperature. With 3K miles added during current ownership, the digital odometer reads 102K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by a rebuilt 350ci V8 engine backed by a Mad Dog Performance 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission with a 2,200-rpm stall convertor and an HGM Electronics Compushift standalone transmission management system. Newer engine parts include the pistons, 268H Comp Cams camshaft, bearings, valves, springs, and a one-piece rear main seal. Underhood features include power steering with a Corvette power steering pump, power brakes, a Holley serpentine belt accessory drive system, and air conditioning with a Sanden SD7 compressor. Additional features include an aluminum intake, aluminum valve covers, and an air cleaner with an Edelbrock Racing logo. New and upgraded parts include Sanderson block-hugger ceramic-coated headers, an HEI distributor, a one-wire alternator, a Corvette water pump, a Cold Case aluminum radiator, and dual Spal high-output electric cooling fans.

This truck was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Suspension upgrades include lowered rear leaf springs, lowering blocks, a chassis C-notch, Belltech shocks with a relocation kit, a professionally installed Brothers short-bed frame conversion, a rebuilt front suspension, a new front sway bar, new body-to-frame bushings, and a one-piece driveshaft. The seller states there is a relocated Chevrolet Blazer fuel tank in the rear. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.

This beautiful 1972 C10 has a ton of upgrades and is always a hit at car shows. The Dakota Digital dash shows 2000 miles but the truck had 106,000 miles prior to rebuild.
