The Mustang GT had already gotten a lot of upgrades the prior year
and was still a much better performance machine than prior
generation GT cars. The 1995 Mustang GT still came with the big
5.0L HO V8 engine. This would mark the final year of this 5.0L 302
cid V8 Since 1965 the V8 Mustangs had
overhead-valve/pushrod-engines this ended era of Pony history. The
small-block V8 engine generated 215 hp at 4200 rpm and 285 lb/ft of
torque at 3400 rpm. Performance was equally impressive in the GT
with zero to 60 mph taking 6.4 seconds and the quarter mile over in
15 seconds this does not seem that much now days but back in 95 it
was a big deal. The 1995 Mustang GTs could be driven this is all
thanks to much improved handling over the previous-generation car
with progressive-rate springs, longer control arms, new spindles,
anti-roll bars, and chassis stiffening made this car very fun on
the street and track. Stop by Lone Star Muscle Cars and take a look
